Mahle is 4-4 with a 3.92 ERA in 12 career starts against the Pirates. He has a 3-1 record and 2.89 ERA at PNC Park in seven starts.

In three road starts this season, Mahle has been hit hard as he is 1-1 with an 8.25 ERA. He is 1-1 with a 4.32 ERA in two starts at night.

Ke’Bryan Hayes is 6 for 9 with a home run off Mahle while Bryan Reynolds and Ben Gamel are both 5 for 12 (.417). Conversely, Yoshi Tsutsugo is hitless in five at-bats, striking out three times.
