Week 5 of the XFL season kicked off early this week, as undefeated Houston faced Seattle under the Thursday Night lights. That leaves only three games for us to sweat this weekend, starting with the highly anticipated matchup between undefeated DC and 3-1 St. Louis. Read on for all of the XFL Week 5 odds here.
XFL Week 5 Odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
DC Defenders | -1.5 (-110) | -125 | O 42 (-110) |
St. Louis BattleHawks | +1.5 (-110) | +105 | U 42 (-110) |
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
Orlando Guardians | +7 (-110) | +275 | O 42 (-110) |
Vegas Vipers | -7 (-110) | -330 | U 42 (-110) |
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
Arlington Renegades | +3 (-110) | +125 | O 35.5 (-110) |
San Antonio Brahmas | -3 (-110) | -145 | U 35.5 (-110) |
That contest projects as the closest in Week 5, as the Defenders are currently 1.5 point road favorites. Saturday’s double-header concludes with the battle of winless teams, and online sportsbooks are expecting Orlando’s woes to continue. The Guardians are currently catching 7 points, making them the largest dog on the board.

DC Defenders vs St. Louis BattleHawks Picks
DC began the week with the second shortest XFL Championship odds just behind Houston. They enter play with the league’s best run game, scoring an XFL high seven rushing TD and featuring three of the league’s top-five rushers.
They also boast the second best scoring defense. They’re yielding just 17.5 points per game, and rank second in turnovers and sacks. They got to BattleHawks QB AJ McCarron four times in their Week 3 victory, while picking him off twice.
Sacks have been a major issue for St. Louis so far, but they still hung 28 points on DC two weeks ago, the most the Defenders have allowed all season.

The BattleHawks were better in protection last week, keeping McCarron clean. He’s been lethal with time to throw this year, tossing 9 TD passes through four weeks, and the league’s third most passing yards.
The BattleHawks are on a mission to sell out their stadium again, after packing in over 38,000 fans last week versus Arlington. The Renegades called the scene the loudest and craziest in the XFL, and St. Louis responded with a dominant 24-11 victory. Look for them to put on a show for the home crowd again.
Pick: St. Louis BattleHawks +1.5 (-110)
Orlando Guardians vs Vegas Vipers Picks
Orlando and Vegas are not only both winless, but they rank last and second last in points allowed. They boast the two worst point differentials per the XFL stats, but the Vipers offense has shown promise lately.
They put up 18 points versus a very good DC defense last week, with Luis Perez tossing two scores. Whether it’s Perez or former NFL’er Brett Hundley under center they should find success, but that doesn’t mean they’re worthy of laying 7 points.

Instead of targeting a side, let’s focus on the over. The Vipers defense hasn’t stopped anyone all season, and the Guardians offense finally showed life last week. Paxton Lynch and Charleston Rambo connected on an XFL-long 81-yard TD, while the team put up a season-best 341 total yards.
The over is 3-1 in both Orlando and Vegas’ games this season, and this matchup sets up as a high-scoring affair as well.
Pick: Over 42 (-110)
Arlington Renegades vs San Antonio Brahmas Picks
It was only four weeks ago Arlington was considered one of the favorites to win the title. Since then, they’ve dropped three straight, while San Antonio has lost two in a row.
The Brahmas have been in every game thanks to their defense, but haven’t been able to rekindle the magic from their 30-point effort versus Orlando in Week 2.
XFL Championship Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Houston Roughnecks | +160 |
DC Defenders | +170 |
St. Louis BattleHawks | +550 |
Seattle Sea Dragons | +800 |
Arlington Renegades | +1000 |
San Antonio Brahmas | +2000 |
Vegas Vipers | +3500 |
Orlando Guardians | +5000 |
They enter play yielding just 17 points per game, despite playing three of the league’s top-four offenses. Expect them dominate versus a Renegades team that is allergic to the end zone. Arlington has scored only 21 points total over the last two weeks, and managed just 10 points against the Guardians league worst defense.
The Renegades defense is their strength as well, but St. Louis had no trouble putting up 24 points and 320+ yards of offense against them last week.
Pick: San Antonio Brahmas -3 (-110)
