Colombia Tops Group G
Colombia were the surprise winners of Group G, going 2-0-1.
They beat South Korea 2-0, beat Germany 2-1 and then lost to Morocco 1-0. In that final game versus Morocco, the Moroccans scored off their missed penalty in the first half stoppage time. While Colombia hit the post in the second half, they were unable to draw level.
They’ve reached the Round of 16 for the second time in their history.

After the Group Stages, Jamaica lost their overall xG battle, 4-1 – 1.5. Colombia did as well, 3.6 – 2.5.
Of the knockout round teams these two actually have some of the lowest xGs of anyone.
Jamaica is 16th at 1.5 and Colombia is 15th at 2.5. Overall Jamaica’s xG was only better than the Argentina, the Philippines and Vietnam in the tournament.
Morocco’s 3.0 is the next lowest after Colombia’s 2.5.
From an xGA perspective, neither is great either with Colombia ranking 15th overall (3.6) and Jamaica 17th (4.1).
16 teams remain.

Jamaica Advances to First Knockout Round
Jamaica finished second in Group F, one of the surprises of the tournament as the 43rd-ranked nation, coming second behind France.
They drew France 0-0, beat Panama 1-0 and drew Brazil 0-0 in their final game which put the nail in Brazil’s tournament as they needed a win.
This is the first time the Reggae Girlz have advanced out of the group stages. Their only previous World Cup appearance was in 2019.

Khadija Shaw at +260 is the first Jamaican listed who is their all-time scorer.

Colombia vs Jamaica Prediction
Jamaica has a clear identity. They’ll likely park the bus and look to counter. They’ve held minimal possession numbers of 27%, 47% and 27%. To be fair, those 27-percents came versus France and Brazil so would be expected. But even in their win over Panama they were still out-possessed.
Overall they’ve put only six shots on target in three games.
Which is fine. it’s worked. But Colombia should hold possession here. as they average 50.33% and were only out-possessed by Germany, having 58% and 61% in the other games.
But neither France or Brazil could break down the Reggae Girlz defense, and Colombia will be a step down.in offensive talent.
For totals bets, Under 2.5 totals for Jamaica are 3-0. There’s been one goal scored combined in their three games
For Colombia, Under 2.5 is 2-1, and there’s been six goals scored combined in their three games.
This looks like a very tight game where the Under, though heavily juiced at -210, is the play.
To get a better price, you could look to Under 1.5 (+150), both teams to score ‘no’ at -175 or even the draw at a tempting +300 as there looks to be little between these teams. I don’t see many goals here, so for the best value, my Colombia vs Jamaica pick is Under 1.5.
