Super Bowl 59 Point Spread – Chiefs Remain Slight Favorites
The opening odds for Super Bowl 59 listed the Chiefs as a 1.5-point favorite against the spread with -112 juice on KC to cover. As the days passed and the money came in, the Chiefs vs Eagles spread has moved incrementally to the underdogs.
As of 9 am ET on Sunday, the Chiefs/Eagles point spread was down to KC -1.0 at the majority of sportsbooks. And at ESPN Bet, Chiefs -1.0 had just -105 juice, while Philadelphia +1.0 was juiced at -115, making it by far the best site to bet on Kansas City to cover the spread.
The lone holdouts that still had the Super Bowl 59 spread at KC -1.5 were BetMGM and FanDuel, and among those, BetMGM was offering the best price on the Eagles to cover the spread at -115. FanDuel had increased the odds on Philly -1.5 to -118 odds.
It’s no surprise the Super Bowl 59 spread has been trending towards Philadelphia; the Chiefs vs Eagles public-betting splits show Philly getting 67% of money bet against the spread and 58% of the ATS wagers.
Chiefs vs Eagles Moneyline Narrowing
When the Chiefs opened as 1.5-point ATS favorites, they were also priced at -125 on the moneyline to win Super Bowl 59. Just like with the spread, the moneyline has also been moving ever-so-slightly to the underdogs as the weeks have passed.
As of Sunday morning, the best moneyline price on Kansas City was -115 at BetMGM, Caesars, and ESPN Bet. That equates to a 53.49% implied win probability.
The Eagles, who opened as +105 underdogs, are now as short as -105 at some books. Anyone looking to bet Philadelphia to win can get them at even-money (+100) at both bet365 and DraftKings at the moment.
Super Bowl 59 Game Total Settles on 48.5
The Chiefs vs Eagles game total has been oscillating over the last 14 days. It opened at 48.5 with -110 odds both ways before going as high as 50 at some sportsbooks. But that didn’t last long and started coming back down just as quickly as it went up.
On the morning of Super Bowl Sunday, the game total was back to the exact place it started, 48.5 with -110 odds each way at the vast majority of sportsbooks.
The only exceptions at the time of publication were BetMGM and DraftKings, which both listed the under at a slightly better price (-105).
