LA is the slight betting favorite in this one, but both teams area trending in the opposite direction, each having dropped three straight.

Sparks vs Wings Picks
- Sparks vs Wings pick: Sparks -1.5 (-110)
The Sparks dropped an 85-80 decision to the Phoenix Mercury last time out, giving LA already a pair of 3-game losing streaks to start the season.
LA built itself a 13-point lead at halftime but couldn’t land the plane, in part to a brutal third quarter, where they were outscored 24-9, watching their lead disintegrate in 10 minutes.
They might have some good news on the horizon, though, as guard Rickea Jackson (concussion, personal) could be back to action after missing five of the last six LA games.
The other good news for LA is Dallas might be the get-right team for them, as they’ve yet to win at home on the season, dropping their first three.
The Wings’ season has been a nightmare to start, and their lone win on the year was against a completely dismantled Connecticut Sun team.
They’re coming off an 83-77 loss to the Seattle Storm. Dallas has kept just one opponent under 80 points, a big reason why they’re Bottom-3 in points allowed, at 88.4 points per game.
Dallas’ offense is a struggle too. All-Star guard Arike Ogunbowale tallied just eight points against Seattle, making it three games scoring in single digits this season — this, after only putting up two such lines in the previous two seasons.
She also hasn’t had the help of top WNBA draft pick Paige Bueckers, who will miss her third straight with a concussion.
LA has won five of the last eight head-to-head matchups, and they’ve covered six of them, including the last three in a row.
Even though the Sparks have struggled, they should have enough to knock off Dallas.

Is Ogunbowale ready to snap out of her scoring funk? Home hasn’t been great for her so far this year. With a top-heavy road schedule to start, the Wings have played just three games at home.
In those the all-star guard has yet to her set scoring line of 17.5 points for Friday. But Ogunbowale has the ability to score, as evidenced by her scoring at least 18 points in three other games this season.
One part of her game that is off, though, is three-point shooting. Ogunbowale is hitting at a career-worst 28.6% clip to start the year, and has yet to connect on two triples in a home game this season.
Last year, in four games vs the Sparks, she hit three triples in a game once, but also had 0-for-8 and 0-for-9 nights from distance.
Until she proves it, we’ll stick with the Under.
- Sparks vs Wings player prop bet: Ogunbowale Under 2.5 3-point makes (-135)
