Sunday Night Football in Week 2 sees the 0-and-1 Atlanta Falcons taking on the 1-and-0 Minnesota Vikings in a battle between two exciting second-year quarterbacks in Michael Penix Jr and JJ McCarthy.

The last two seasons these two NFC foes have squared off, with Minnesota winning 31-28 in 2023, and the Vikings making it an encore 42-21 in 2024. There’s a lot of money to be made in NFL player props, and I’ve compiled my three favorite prop bets, below, including a touchdown-scorer bet in the Week 2 SNF odds.

Falcons vs Vikings Prop Pick #1: Bijan Robinson Over 66.5 Yards Rushing

In Week 1, if you just looked at Bijan Robinson’s rushing stat line you’d think he had a bad contest – 12 carries for 24 yards. However, he had six receptions for 100 yards and a TD. Dating back to last season, that was the first time he failed to crack the 67+ rushing yards mark in his last seven affairs, and just the second time in the last ten duels that he failed to reach that threshold on the ground.

His posted number seems rather juicy, given that his worst output of the eight occasions in the last ten games he picked up a ton of yardage was 86. However, last season, the Vikings were second best against the run, surrendering just 93.2 yards per outing. In Week 1 against the Bears, Minny allowed 119 total yards on the ground.

Robinson also features in a +154 Falcons vs Vikings same-game parlay that John Hyslop has cooked up.

Given Robinson’s tremendous success his first two seasons and his last ten outings, I’m more than inclined to see his 24 rushing yards in Week 1 as an aberration.

ATL vs MIN Player Prop #2: Jalen Nailor Over 25.5 Receiving Yards

With Jordan Addison suspended for the first three games of the campaign, there’s one less mouth to feed in the Minnesota offense, which gives more looks for wideout Jalen Nailor. In the opening game of the season, he picked up 28 yards, and he’s gone over the 25.5 listed number in four straight contests, dating back to last season.

In Week 1, Atlanta allowed 39 or more yards to the Buccaneers three wide receivers in Emeka Egbuka, Mike Evans and Sterling Shepard. I’m expecting Nailor to get his looks to go over his total.

• Jalen Nailor Over 25.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

Moving over to the Falcons vs Vikings touchdown scorer props, Bijan Robinson has the shortest odds to find the end zone at -130. The player most likely to find the end zone for Minnesota is Jordan Mason at +100.

Falcons vs Vikings Prop Pick #3: Michael Penix Jr Anytime TD

For my touchdown scorer prop, I’m getting a little bit frisky in selecting Falcons’ QB Michael Penix Jr. to record a TD with his legs. He did just that in the season opener against the Buccaneers, and in his final game last season, also found the end zone rushing versus Carolina.

His last season in College Football, Penix Jr. recorded a touchdown on the ground in three straight contests with Washington. In Week 1, the Vikings also surrendered a score to a QB with his legs, giving one up to Caleb Williams.
