Montana State does much of its damage via the run, ranking second in the conference, churning out a hefty 234.1 yards per contest. Meanwhile, Montana brings the conference’s second-ranked passing attack to the table, averaging a crisp 287.9 yards through the air.

Strong offense presents a bevy of college football player props, and we’ve worked over the rosters to deliver our favorite Montana vs Montana State player props.

Montana vs Montana State Prop #1: Wortham Rush Yards

Montana loves to use the shifty senior Michael Wortham in both the run and the pass. As a receiver, his original position, he’s been on fire, including last game against South Dakota in the FCS quarterfinals.

Wortham hauled in 11 balls for 201 yards and a pair of scores — both season highs.

However, he’s been given a very generous 19.5 rushing yards line, and he’s been really good carrying the rock too.

You’ll notice one of those games with an Over rush total was against Montana State, as he made the most of his three totes, running for 35 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Wortham has had at least one carry in every game this season, averaging nearly four rushes per contest on a healthy 5.7 yards per carry.

Montana vs Montana State Prop #2: Dowler Receiving Yards

After cracking 100 yards receiving in two of his first three games, Taco Dowler hasn’t come close to reaching those lofty heights since.

And the books seem to have some lofty goals for him on Saturday, giving him a 64.5-yard receiving line Saturday against the Grizzlies.

This is the same Montana side that held Dowler to just three catches and 22 yards in their last meeting on November 22.

In fact, over the last 11 games, Dowler has only hit 65 receiving yards twice. Montana does have the worst passing defense in the conference, allowing 287.8 yards per game.

But Dowler’s body of work shows that even if the Bobcats do exploit that pass defense, it won’t be the junior pass catcher doing it.

There are five players with minus odds to find the endzone, led by Eli Gillman, who has -170 odds. He’s followed by Montana State’s running back tandem of Adam Jones (-160) and Julius Davis (-130).

Montana vs Montana State Prop #3: Gillam Anytime TD

It’s shocking that there’s even an ounce of betting juice left on Gillam to score a TD.

He finished in a tie for third in the FCS with his 20 TD scores, and he enters this contest finding paydirt in six straight games, while failing to find the endzone just twice all season.

Gillam had one of his better games of the year against Montana State, running for 132 yards on a healthy 8.8 yards per tote, with a TD.

In fact, in three career games against MTST, he has scored a touchdown in every single contest. There’s a really great chance he goes 4-for-4 on Saturday.
