It’s one last chance to make their case for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, as the Oklahoma Sooners (16-14, 6-11 SEC) visit the Texas Longhorns (18-12, 9-8 SEC).

Texas finds itself as a 7.5-point home favorite paying out at -105 odds at DraftKings, while you can get Oklahoma as an 8-point dog at Caesars, paying out at -110.

Although it seems likely the Longhorns will snag one of 11 SEC at-large bids to March Madness, a win over Oklahoma wouldn’t hurt.

After ripping off a season-best 5-game win streak, the Longhorns enter their regular season finale having lost three of four, including a 20-point loss to no. 20 Arkansas last game.

Texas ranks seventh in scoring offense in the SEC, including second in field goal shooting (49.3%) and fifth in 3-point shooting (35.4%).

They’re also seventh in scoring defense, but rank outside the conference Top 10 in field goal and 3-point shooting defense.

Oklahoma vs Texas Key Stats

A late Oklahoma should have the attention of the selection committee. The Sooners have ripped off three wins in a row and five of their last seven, including a nice 92-91 upset of 15th-ranked Vanderbilt.

This stretch helps absorb the previous set of games, where Oklahoma lost a whopping nine straight games, almost playing themselves out of tournament contention.

Their offense has come alive in this home stretch, as they’re averaging 88 points across their last five wins, a big jump from the 82.6 they averaged over the course of the season.

This will be the second meeting between the teams this season, as Texas bounced Oklahoma 79-69 back on January 31. It didn’t come easy, as the Longhorns needed to erase a 14-point first-half deficit to get the win.

Some glaring stats to note in that one: Texas shot a blistering 60% from the field, and also held the normally potent OU 3-point attack to just 9-for-28 from beyond the arc.

The Longhorns also dominated scoring in the paint, with a 42-28 margin.

It’s all part of a recent trend for Texas, who have ripped off nine wins in the last 10 head-to-head matchups, while going 7-3-0 against the spread.

However, I think how both teams are playing right now matters. Throw in the fact that six of the last 10 games have been decided by four points or less, and I think Texas gets the win, but the Sooners force them to sweat it out down the stretch.
