The long wait is finally over, as the world’s best golfers descend on Augusta National Golf Club for the 90th playing of the Masters tournament. Rory McIlroy heads down Magnolia Lane as the defending champion, having captured the elusive green jacket that completed the career grand slam in 2025. Reigning U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun won the recently finished Valero Texas Open and heads into the Masters with a victory.
Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to win the Masters yet again, followed by 2023 champ Jon Rahm, and the aforementioned McIlroy. The first men’s major of the year is finally upon us, and I’m searching for value bets to claim some big money at the Masters.
The Masters Odds (2026)
I’m starting my card yet again this week with a golfer that broke my heart at the Players Championship this year – the 54 hole leader Ludvig Aberg, who wasn’t able to secure the title. He’s recently fresh off a tie for fifth at the Valero Texas Open, and is comfortably in the top-five choices to don a green jacket come Sunday evening.
His last three tournaments have been fantastic, going T-3rd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T-5th at the Players and T-5th at the aforementioned Valero Texas Open. He co-led in the final round at TPC San Antonio, gaining more experience in contention on the main circuit.
Odds as of 6:35 pm ET on Sunday, April 5th, at DraftKings. Check out the full list of DraftKings deposit methods.
Bettors who live in a region where prediction site Kalshi operates can get a better price on certain golfers.
Scheffler’s 14¢ price at Kalshi is equal to a +614 moneyline, which offers considerably more value compared to the price at DraftKings. (Note that the quickest way to convert any Kalshi price to traditional odds is with SBD’s odds converter. Enter the price in the “Implied Probability” field.)
Last 5 Masters Winners
What also makes me bullish about his prospects is his track record at this event. In two spins around down Magnolia Lane, the uber-talented Swede has been runner-up in 2024 and seventh a year ago. He has two career PGA Tour titles to his credit, but is so talented he made a European Ryder Cup team before he’d even competed in a major.
If he’s able to learn the lessons from his three stroke lead and subsequent collapse with nine holes to go last month, he could earn his first career major triumph. At +1750 odds to win outright, that’s still very much digestible.
The Masters 2026 Picks & Value Bets
- Russell Henley +4200: It would be a perfect homecoming story if Georgia native Russell Henley could slip into a green jacket. His best finish at the Masters to date was a T-4th three years ago, but his latest run has been staggering. In Henley’s last 15 PGA Tour starts, he’s racked up top-20s on 13 occasions, including seven top-10s. If you go line shopping, you can snag Henley at +6000 on bet365.
- Patrick Reed +4500: Patrick Reed has been phenomenal in 2026, with a three-week span on the DP World Tour going win, runner-up in a playoff, win. He’s also a past champ at the Masters, winning the 2017 iteration. The last 24 rounds at this course, Reed is second in total strokes gained, having posted four more top 10s since that title. That includes a third place result last year and a T-4th in 2023.
- Akshay Bhatia +6600: With left handers having great success at Augusta in the past (Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Mike Weir), I like Akshay Bhatia at these juicy odds to be the latest lefty winner. He’s had a fantastic campaign, claiming the Arnold Palmer Invitational for his biggest of his three victories to date. In his last five PGA Tour starts, he’s been 16th or better each time, including that win at Bay Hill.
- Sungjae Im +12000: Sungjae Im is the longest shot that I feel comfortable selecting that I feel has a legit chance at winning. Two starts ago he was the 54 hole leader at the Valspar, before settling for a T-4th showing. In his Masters career, Im has put up a top-10 three times in six attempts, highlighted by a T-2nd in 2020 and T-5th a year ago. While winning might be a bit too much of a stretch, he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 5/10/20 markets.
