My favorite bet tonight is the Dodgers runline at +115 odds. Despite probable starter Roki Sasaki’s early-season issues—evidenced by a 5.97 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over 28.2 innings—Los Angeles possesses a significantly deeper lineup and a sturdier overall pitching staff, carrying a collective 3.27 team ERA compared to San Francisco’s 4.08 mark.

The Giants will start Trevor McDonald, who has posted a 1.29 ERA but in a highly limited 7.0-inning sample size. Navigating a patient Los Angeles lineup will be a different test for the right-hander. I expect the World Series odds favorites to generate enough offense to cover the spread and the bullpen to effectively secure the late innings.

Roki Sasaki vs Trevor McDonald Stats

Sasaki (1-3) takes the mound searching for consistency. His 5.97 ERA and 6.81 FIP are elevated by a high 4.71 BB/9 rate, directly contributing to a 1.67 WHIP. Opponents are batting .287 against him, indicating that when he misses his spots, hitters make contact. However, Sasaki logs an 8.2 K/9 rate and can be highly effective if he controls his walk rate.

McDonald (1-0) posted a 1.29 ERA and 0.29 WHIP in his lone 7.0-inning start. During that outing, he struck out 8 batters without issuing a walk. However, replicating that pinpoint command against a powerful Los Angeles lineup will be a significant challenge for the young arm.
