The Golden State Valkyries face a must win scenario today in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals vs the Atlanta Dream. Golden State enters play trailing 2-1 in the best-of-seven series, and no team in league history has ever come back from a two-game deficit in the championship round. Online sportsbooks and prediction markets don’t like the Valkyries chances of getting back into the series, posting Atlanta as anywhere from -4.5 to -5.5 point favorites depending on where you look.
Tip-off for Game 4 is scheduled for 1 pm ET, 10 am PT from the Dream’s State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA, with NBC providing the broadcast coverage. Keep reading for my Valkyries vs Dream Game 4 picks, predictions and odds for Oct 24, below.

Looking at the Valkyries vs Dream odds, Atlanta is laying 5.5 points at traditional sportsbooks, but you can grab them at -4.5 if you have access to Polymarket. The prediction market also offers better moneyline odds if you like Golden State to win outright (+186 vs +160), and a lower total (152.5 vs 153.5) if you expect a high-scoring game.
The Dream’s 2-1 series lead has propelled them to a -285 favorite in the WNBA Championship odds, and I have a feeling that price is going to look like a steal after this afternoon’s contest.
Valkyries vs Dream Game 4 Picks

After a slow start in the series opener, the Dream completely dominated in Games 2 and 3, and I’m expecting to see a similar game script this afternoon. Golden State can’t get out of its own way and are turning the ball over at an unspeakably high rate. Their offense is ice cold, and at the other end they have no answer for Angel Reese.
Let’s start with the Valkyries offensive woes. They’re averaging only 68 points per game in the Finals, while shooting 35% from the field. They coughed up the ball 19 times in Game 2 and 17 times in Game 3, leading to 24 and 22 Atlanta points respectively. Suspect offense is nothing new to Golden State fans, as this team posted the worst field percentage in the WNBA during the regular season. What is new is the absurd amount of giveaways, but that shouldn’t come as too big a surprise given the Dream led the league in steals this year.
The Valkyries have been able to overcome lousy shooting up until this point thanks to their phenomenal defense. Golden State led the league in scoring defense during the regular season, but it’s pretty clear Atlanta has figured them out. The Dream have scored progressively more points in each matchup of the series, averaging 88 points per outing in the last two contests. For context, that’s a number the Valkyries haven’t reached offensively in their last seven postseason games.
Atlanta was one of the highest scoring teams in the league during the regular season, and with Reese and Rhyne Howard playing at an incredibly high level, I’m betting on another convincing win in Game 4.
Golden State Valkyries vs Atlanta Dream Game 4 Predictions
- Angel Reese Over 15.5 Points (53¢ / -127 at Polymarket)
Speaking of Reese, my second favorite Game 4 wager is her to eclipse 15.5 points. Reese has poured in 51 total points over the last two games, shooting 60% from the field. She’s dominating on the offensive glass, which is leading to second chance points and easy putbacks, and continuing the incredible form she’s had since coming back from the All-Star break.
Reese’s field goal percentage has climbed from 42.5% pre-break, to 48% post-break, a level she’s maintained throughout the postseason. Despite the bump in efficiency, there’s actually room to grow. Per the advanced stats, she’s actually shooting 4.1% worse than expectation, so her ceiling is actually even higher.
She’s also been lights out from beyond the arc, and is taking more threes than earlier in the year. Reese is 8 of 17 from long range in the playoffs (47%), after shooting just 22% on 50 three-point attempts during the regular season.
