  • Chicago vs Seattle final injury report and betting lines for Week 8 Monday Night Football

The Chicago Bears (5-2, 5-2 ATS, 3-4 O/U) head to Lumen Field to battle the Seattle Seahawks (4-3, 2-3-2 ATS, 3-4 O/U) on Monday Night Football (8:15 PM ET, ABC/ESPN), with health playing a significant storyline for both teams. The final injury reports include ten Seahawks and six Bears.

Seattle enters banged up on both sides of the ball, officially ruling out starting left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee), and running back Velus Jones Jr (hamstring). Chicago’s injury report is cleaner, though running back Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) has been ruled out, and linebackers D’Marco Jackson (ankle) and defensive back Malik Muhammad II (toe) carry questionable designations into kickoff.

The Bears travel to Seattle carrying fewer total injuries than their opponents, but the six names on their injury report present critical challenges. Managing the health of their backfield and linebacker corps will be vital if Chicago hopes to overcome their status as 3-point road underdogs.

CHI Key Injury Notes & Betting Implications

Kyle Monangai (RB)
The most impactful confirmed absence for Chicago is running back Kyle Monangai. He failed to practice this week and is officially out with a thumb injury. His absence dramatically shifts the ground and pound workload in the backfield. In the three games Monangai has missed this season, starting running back D’Andre Swift has averaged 55 rushing yards.

BetMGM currently lists Swift’s rushing yards prop at an over/under of 59.5. Bettors backing Chicago on the +145 moneyline need Swift to shoulder this increased volume against the Seattle defensive schemes.

D’Marco Jackson (LB) & The Linebacker Corps
The Chicago defense appeared to be walking on eggshells with several key linebackers hitting the report, but the outlook is largely positive. D’Marco Jackson is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, though he managed to log a full practice.

Crucially, fellow linebackers T.J. Edwards and Jack Sanborn also recorded full practice participations. They do not carry an official game designation, meaning they are fully expected to suit up. Their presence will be essential in keeping the game under the 46.5-point total and boosting third down conversions for the defense.

Colston Loveland (TE)
The tight end popped up on the injury report with a neck issue, but panic for prop bettors can be subdued. Loveland managed a full practice and does not carry a final injury designation. His receiving yards prop is currently set at 45.5 on BetMGM (Over -115 / Under -115). This makes him a viable target for Caleb Williams when operating the passing offense.

The Seahawks enter Week 8 as 3-point home favorites, but a massive ten-player injury report paints the picture of a heavily battered roster. With injuries severely impacting their offensive backfield, offensive line, and linebacking corps, Seattle will have its depth thoroughly tested against Chicago.

SEA Key Injury Notes & Betting Implications

Drew Lock (QB) & Sam Darnold
Backup quarterback Drew Lock was limited in practice due to an elbow injury and heads into the game carrying a questionable tag.

This season, Darnold has averaged 255 passing yards across four games. BetMGM currently lists Darnold’s passing yards prop at 235.5. He has comfortably eclipsed this number historically.

Velus Jones Jr (RB) & The Backfield Carousel
The Seattle rushing attack takes a confirmed hit with running back Velus Jones Jr ruled out due to a hamstring injury. However, his absence creates a fascinating betting angle for backup running back Emanuel Wilson.

In the one game Jones missed earlier this season, Wilson erupted for an average of 92 rushing yards. Despite this historical production, best-available odds have Wilson’s rushing yards total set incredibly low at just 19.5 yards.

That’s because fellow running back Zach Charbonnet managed a full practice and is expected to play for the first time this season with his prop sitting at 32.5 rushing yards. Rookie RB Jadarian Price is also expected to be activated off injured reserve, further muddying the waters for how the carries will be divvied out.

Uchenna Nwosu (LB) & The Defensive Front
On the defensive side of the ball, standout linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury. The Seattle linebacker corps is heavily featured on the report, with Patrick O’Connell questionable.

Fortunately for Seattle, veteran DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrice Knight both logged full practices and do not carry an official game designation. Keeping the Chicago offense contained and winning the field position battle will lean heavily on these active defenders stepping up.

Monitoring NFL public betting splits will be crucial as the handle shifts closer to kickoff.
