  • Trinidad Chambliss threw 52 times at Texas. His passing volume leads my Georgia vs Ole Miss player props.
  • Georgia’s leading rusher has a 54-yard run this season, and his yardage ladder pays plus money.
  • Nate Frazier’s goal-line carry against Florida points to a different way to play Georgia’s backfield.

Trinidad Chambliss got to 250 passing yards two very different ways in his last two games. That distinction matters for Saturday’s Georgia vs Ole Miss player props, when the Bulldogs visit Oxford for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Georgia averages 200.1 yards on the ground and 41 points per game. Its leading rusher and the back who scored from a yard out against Florida are two different players. I’m looking at different markets for each.

Ole Miss counters with Trinidad Chambliss, who has thrown for 2,189 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. For the spread and how these teams match up, see my early Georgia vs Ole Miss prediction.

Trinidad Chambliss Passing Yards Prediction

  • Pick: Trinidad Chambliss 250+ Passing Yards (-189 at BetMGM)

Chambliss averages 273.6 passing yards per game, comfortably above this 250-yard mark. He reached it against Auburn and Texas in his last two starts. His September performance against LSU shows how much higher the yardage can go when the Rebels need to keep throwing.

Texas held him to 4.8 yards per attempt, but his 52 throws got him to exactly 250. That wins a 250+ ticket. A week later he topped the same number on 18 fewer attempts against Auburn. I prefer the 250-yard line to asking him for 300 against a Georgia defense with 26 sacks.

Dwight Phillips Jr. Rushing Yards Odds

  • Pick: Dwight Phillips Jr. 75+ Rushing Yards (+180 at BetMGM)

Phillips leads Georgia with 415 rushing yards on just 55 carries. That works out to about 7.5 yards per attempt, with two touchdowns and a season-long run of 54. He doesn’t need a 20-carry workload to get there. One run like that season-long gain would leave him 21 yards short of the line.

At +180, the break-even rate is about 36%. Ole Miss has allowed 148.9 rushing yards per game. I like the price on Phillips breaking a long run against that front; his 7.5 yards per carry are why I’m taking the yardage ladder rather than asking him to score.

Nate Frazier Anytime Touchdown Pick

  • Pick: Nate Frazier Anytime Touchdown (-128 at BetMGM)

Frazier is coming off a strong showing against Florida, when Georgia piled up 217 rushing yards. He led the team with 67 yards and scored from one yard out in the first quarter, which shows he gets chances close to the goal line.

The matchup helps too. Ole Miss has allowed 15 rushing touchdowns in eight games, almost two per game. Georgia doesn’t have to get Frazier to 75 yards for this pick to win. Give me the back it trusted from the 1 last week against a defense that has already surrendered 15 scores on the ground.
