Arizona sports betting will welcome its newest sports betting operator into the fold in the coming weeks.

The Arizona Department of Gaming announced a sports betting license for Bet365 Arizona as the designee for the Ak-Chin Indian Community. It’s the 18th sports betting license in Arizona and the newest since Fubo Sportsbook announced its departure from the Grand Canyon State in October 2022.

Fubo Sportsbook was the previous operator partnered with the Ak-Chin Indian Community.

Bet365’s Arizona Sports Betting Launch Upcoming

The online sports betting operator is not live in the state. According to a representative from the Arizona Department of Gaming, Bet365 will have 180 days to launch in the state. The operator must submit all required information and receive final approval from the department before launching.

Each Arizona sports betting license allows for online sports and brick-and-mortar sports betting.

The Arizona Department of Gaming announced in June that it would be opening an application window for sports wagering licenses on Aug. 1. The department opened applications for one tribal sports betting partnership and two professional sports teams partnerships. The deadline for applications was Aug. 15.

A department representative confirmed that the Bet365 license allocation will be the only license awarded at this time. The department may open another application period for the remaining available licenses in the future.

The sports betting operator has enjoyed a recent U.S. expansion, as it opened in Ohio this past January, will be launching in Kentucky in September, and will soon launch in Arizona. The operator is also live in the following states:

  • Colorado
  • Iowa
  • New Jersey
  • Virginia

It also has a pending sports betting license in Pennsylvania. New customers will be able to sign up and claim the latest Bet365 bonus code and unlock a limited-time promotion.

Another License Available Soon?

The Ak-Chin Indian Tribe found a partner, but another tribe in the state is likely going to be on the lookout for another sports betting operator soon. WynnBET, which was partnered with the San Carlos Apache Tribe, recently announced it would be ceasing sports betting operations in eight states.

WynnBET is currently licensed to operate in 12 states. It will work with regulators to cease operations in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia as soon as possible.

It will continue to operate in Nevada and Massachusetts. Wynn announced it will also review its New York and Michigan operations.
