  • Fanatics Sportsbook is now live in eight states

Another day, another Fanatics Sportsbook launch.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming announced today that Fanatics Sportsbook is now live in Colorado. PointsBet turned over its assets in Colorado to Fanatics Betting and Gaming as part of the company acquiring PointsBet’s North American assets over the summer.

Colorado is the eighth live state for Fanatics Sportsbook.

Third State Launch in Last Month

As part of the deal, the signage at Ball Arena, home of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, will officially change over to Fanatics Sportsbook.

According to the acquisition details provided from the Fanatics/PointsBet deal in June, PointsBet was required to begin turning over its U.S. assets to Fanatics by Sept. 1 at a clip of three states per month.  Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia were the first states to be turned over through the deal.

Fanatics Sportsbook has launched in three states, and secured access for another, since the start of November. Fanatics Sportsbook announced its launch in Virginia on Nov. 21 and its launch in West Virginia on Nov. 16.

Last week, Fanatics Betting and Gaming announced it had secured a partnership with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation to serve as the lottery corporation’s exclusive sports betting provider for online and retail sports betting in the state.

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation has been looking for a sports betting partner replacement for Rush Street Interactive since it announced earlier this year that it wanted out of the state. RSI and the lottery corporation had agreed to a 10-year partnership before the state’s sports betting launch in October 2021.

The transition from RSI’s SugarHouse platform to Fanatics Sportsbook will be completed by mid-December, according to the company.

The CLC is one of three sports betting license holders in Connecticut. The Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes hold the other two licenses in Connecticut, with FanDuel and DraftKings as their respective sports betting partners.

Eighth Live State for Fanatics Sportsbook

Colorado is Fanatics Sportsbook’s eighth live state. When it launches in Connecticut next month, it will be the ninth live state for the sportsbook operator.

Fanatics Sportsbook is currently live in the following states:

  • Colorado
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Ohio
  • Tennessee
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia
