This fight to cement the first ever BKFC strawweight world champion was initially supposed to feature another fighter clashing with Beltran. BKFC Thailand strawweight champion Fani Peloumpi was set to knuckle up and toe the line before COVID-centric visa issues derailed that which created the opportunity for Sigala to step up.

Britain Hart Beltran’s Betting Analysis at BKFC 29

Beltran’s resume in BKFC is one of the strongest on the entire roster. She has previously contended for the BKFC flyweight world title, and her only losses have been to Bec Rawlings (a defeat she avenged in her last outing) and Christine Ferea (BKFC flyweight champion and number one women’s pound-for-pound fighter).

115 pounds seems like a more natural home for Beltran after carving out some memorable moments against larger opposition.

The fight IQ of Beltran is one of the best in the sport, and she looks to leave this weekend on the heels of back-to-back wins with a world championship belt in tow.

Charisa Sigala’s Chance at Making BKFC History

Sigala started off her BKFC run on a two-fight skid albeit to a pair of top-five ranked flyweights in Taylor Starling and Pearl Gonzalez. She has since then not tasted defeat and has also found herself a more organic weight category in moving down from 125 pounds like her opponent on Saturday night.

A win here would be by far the biggest of Sigala’s bare-knuckle boxing career. But the short notice dynamic coupled with the depth of experience Beltran creates a tough task for her.

Ultimately, I foresee Beltran having a redemptive moment by making good on her second bid at a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship world title.

In terms of prop bets that present good value, a pair of outcomes for Britain Hart Beltran are pretty close in value. Beltran winning via decision is situated at +130, as compared to Beltran via KO or TKO at +150. While Beltran does have a pair of finishes and this is short notice, Sigala has also never been halted in bare-knuckle boxing and I think her durability will carry her to the end of the fifth round in a largely one-sided outing.

In the BKFC 29 main event, I favourBeltran winning via decision to become a BKFC world titleholder.

Pick: Britain Hart Beltran (-205)

Joe Riggs vs Josh Dyer

Riggs has a record of 4-2-1 in bare-knuckle boxing and is a former BKFC world title challenger. He made his bare-knuckle boxing debut on the England circuit, but has been under the BKFC banner since his sophomore gloveless bout and first fought for that outfit at BKFC 3.

Dyer has three wins opposite a single defeat in his bare-knuckle boxing run so far. He debuted with Valor BK, his last three fights were under the BKFC banner, and he has a one hundred percent finishing rate. Riggs is the number five ranked light heavyweight contender in BKFC, and Dyer is looking to garner a name value into vault into the rankings potentially.

For this co-headliner, I think there are some prop bets that would present good value to prospective betters. Oddsmakers see a KO or TKO as the likeliest path to victory for both as opposed to winning on the judges’ scorecards (Riggs via knockout at +130 while Dyer via knockout is +180). I favor Dyer in this clash.

Pick: Josh Dyer (-105)

Other Pick for BKFC 29:

  1. Rusty Crowder vs Kai Stewart: This clash pits two ranked featherweights against one another with the victor being positioned well or a possible slot into the inaugural BKFC world title fight for that weight category. Looking at possible prop bets for this one, it’s clear oddsmakers see KO or TKO as a likelier path to victory for Stewart (+140) while Crowder is more favored to win via decision (+180). I favor Crowder getting it done at BKFC 29. Pick: Rusty Crowder (+105)
