As the next step of his world title pursuit, Harlem Eubank (22-1) returns eight months after his last fight in a main event bout against slick southpaw David Papot (30-1-1). The welterweights headline the latest MF Pro boxing card on Saturday night.

The 32-year-old Eubank headlines another fight card after picking up a bounce-back win over Josh Wagner in his hometown. The victory came four months after he suffered his first professional loss to Jack Catterall.

Papot, 35, lines up opposite Eubank 10 months after a tight, unanimous decision loss to Liam Paro. The Frenchman also recently fought Wagner, beating the Canadian by seventh-round knockout in November 2024.

Eubank vs. Paro is a closely-lined bout, with the Frenchman slightly favored to steal a victory in enemy territory. Vegas also expects the main event bout to go the distance, with the Over 10.5 rounds juiced to -275.

The co-main event matchup between Kieran Molloy and Sean Noakes is also tight on the odds, with Molloy slightly favored at -137. The Irishman is defending the IBF European welterweight title in the bout against Noakes, the older brother of recent WBO lightweight title challenger Sam Noakes.

Skill-for-skill, Eubank and Papot are very similar and would be evenly matched on paper. However, the story of this fight lies in the stance matchup.

While Eubank is an above-average boxer against other orthodox fighters, he is almost entirely out of his element against southpaws. Those struggles were evident in his lopsided loss to Jack Catterall, in which he could only muster 17 punches landed in the six-round fight. Eubank is a slow starter in general and looked completely lost against a high-level southpaw in Catterall.

Papot is not as well-rounded as Catterall, but he is a stout defensive fighter behind his underrated Philly shell game. His punches lack the necessary pop to create highlights — sporting a measly 17 percent knockout rate — but his defense more than makes up for it. Papot sees everything coming and has hardly been hit cleanly in 32 professional fights.

If there is a silver lining to Eubank’s game, it is that his constant movement could be a factor that frustrates Papot. Yet, finding moments to get his offense going will be few and far in between, and Papot tends to adjust to different styles quicker and more effectively than Eubank. The southpaw is the better all-around boxer and will spoil the party on Saturday night.

Kieran Molloy and Sam Noakes are similar fighters on paper, but their paths could not be more different. Although they share similar records, Molloy’s 14-0 resume comes against quality opposition in the early stages of his career, while Noakes has done little other than beat up on severely overmatched opponents. Noakes’ last two wins came against a pair of fighters with a combined record of 9-68-1.

Molloy fights like a fighter who has the decorated amateur career he has. The Irishman is always composed, well-balanced and never out of position, even if that results in his falling into a point-fighting trap at times. Molloy’s timing and exquisite hand placement are what have many viewing him as a potential future champion.

Noakes certainly has a slight power advantage, but his subpar technique fails to capitalize on it. While he throws with significantly more intention than Molloy, Noakes’ meager 41 percent knockout rate embodies his inability to set up his power punches. Even when he has been set up to shine, the 31-year-old’s wild boxing and lack of discipline have failed to elevate him to his brother’s level.

Noakes believes his power will be the difference, but Molloy is too disciplined to let this opportunity evade him. It might not be exciting, but the smooth Irishman will be the fighter keeping his undefeated record intact.

British prospect Aaron Prospere is another young fighter Misfits is attempting to get over the hump on Saturday night. He is given every advantage to succeed in the English title fight, but Prospere just might not be the fighter he is being touted as.

Just 3-2 in his last five fights, Prospere is being thrust into a regional title fight against someone his team is familiar with. Sakyi is two fights removed from a 10-round decision loss to Kay Prospere in London.

Yet, despite everything pointing in his direction, Aaron Prospere has never been an exciting prospect. He is naturally athletic, but he uses that gift to constantly move laterally and backward while punching more to survive than to score. His punches have almost no power due to his feet constantly moving, never allowing him to sit down on his attacks.

Sakyi is another fighter with countless holes in his game, but he will be able to match Prospere’s length and will always bring the fight to his opponent. Nothing about Prospere’s tendency to fight off his back foot should change that. Even with Sakyi’s struggles cutting off the ring against quicker opponents, he has better timing to clip a moving Prospere.

In a game of inches, Sakyi’s aggression and pressure could be the deciding factor in pulling off the upset. He is more than worth a half-unit at this price in what should be a 50-50 fight.
