- A five-point swing in the Sunflower Showdown leads the Week 7 college football line movement.
- One SEC total has fallen five points heading into Saturday.
- Read below for every key-number crossing in the Week 7 college football odds.
The Week 7 college football odds look a lot different than they did when our opening lines went up Sunday. Spreads have moved through key numbers, and most totals have come down.
I’m comparing our Sunday openers with BetMGM’s Friday prices for 14 games. Those openers weren’t necessarily BetMGM’s own, so this shows how far each number traveled from where our board started.
I’m not guessing at why lines moved. My focus is what the movement means for bettors, especially around 3, 7, 10 and 14.

Biggest Week 7 College Football Spread Moves
Kansas State Shortens Five Points vs Kansas
The biggest move in the Week 7 CFB odds is in Manhattan. Kansas State opened as an 8.5-point favorite in our Sunday number and sat at -3.5 at BetMGM on Friday. That five-point drop runs through 7 and lands just above a field goal.
The Wildcats now need only a four-point win to cover. Kansas brings an offense averaging 33.6 points per game, and the total has risen a point to 55.5.
Ohio State Drops to 3 at Indiana
Ohio State opened -4 and was down to -3 at BetMGM on Friday. That full point puts the line right on the most common margin in football, so a three-point Buckeyes win now pushes instead of losing for Ohio State bettors.
Both teams back up a close spread. Ohio State is scoring 42.7 points per game and allowing 13.2, while Indiana is scoring 39.8 and allowing 11.8. The total hasn’t moved off 50.5.
Texas Tech and Alabama Climb Through Key Numbers
Texas Tech jumped from -12.5 to -15.5 against Arizona State, crossing 14. A two-touchdown Red Raiders win covered Sunday’s number but falls short now. Alabama moved from -6.5 to -7.5 at Tennessee, so a seven-point Crimson Tide win no longer cashes.
Purdue went from -2.5 to -3.5 against Washington, crossing 3, and Texas stretched from -10 to -11 against Florida. Michigan moved just a half point, to -6.5 against Penn State.
Notre Dame and Oregon Shorten
Notre Dame slid from -12.5 to -11 at BYU. Oregon dipped from -7 to -6.5 against Nebraska, a half point that matters because it drops the Ducks below 7. Memphis made the same move at Tulane.
Elsewhere, Ole Miss shortened a full point to -5 against Missouri, Miami dipped to -20.5, Georgia moved to -19 and App State slipped to -1.
Week 7 College Football Totals Movement
Totals have mostly gone down. The biggest drop is in Knoxville, where Alabama vs Tennessee fell five points, from 55.5 to 50.5.
App State vs Coastal Carolina, Florida vs Texas and Notre Dame vs BYU each fell two points. Washington vs Purdue, Arizona State vs Texas Tech and Nebraska vs Oregon each came down one.
Penn State vs Michigan dropped to 42.5, the lowest total of the group. Michigan is scoring 23 points per game and allowing 15.8, and at a number this low, one extra score can swing the over/under.
Only two totals went up: Memphis vs Tulane, from 53.5 to 55.5, and Kansas vs Kansas State, to 55.5. Missouri vs Ole Miss held at 58.5, the highest of the bunch.
What the Week 7 Line Movement Means
Line movement shows where the price sits, not how the game plays out. A half point around 3 or 7 can still decide a win, loss or push, so I always compare prices before betting. Track every update on our college football odds page.
