Inter Milan (+425) at Juventus (-142), Draw (+260)

The first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals between reigning champ Juventus and arch-rival Inter Milan will get underway today at Juventus Stadium in Turin (2:45 PM Eastern).

On the other side of the draw, Alessandria and AC Milan will clash in the other semi.

Juventus are favored to return to the Coppa Italia final, listed at -275 to advance while Inter is +200.

Juve didn’t get off to a great start to the season but are now rolling, winning their last eight in a row (all competitions), including a 1-0 away victory in the quarters over Lazio. Their recent form brought them back to title contention in Serie A; they’re now just two points back of league-leading Napoli.

Juventus coach Max Allegri is keeping his squad focused on the task at hand, though.

“We must be less conscious as our thought is always about the record and that can put more pressure on. For now, we’ll think about the Coppa Italia, and then we’ll think about Chievo”, said Allegri.

Inter Milan’s season is following the converse path. They were leading the Serie A a month ago but have gone just 2-2-3 in their last seven and fallen to fourth, six back of Napoli. They did manage a 2-0 away victory over Napoli in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals, though.

The goal scoring has almost entirely dried up for Inter. They have just 26 goals through 21 Serie A matches. On the other hand, their defense has been impeccable and they’ve conceded a league-low 14 goals on the year.

This will be the second meeting of the year between Inter and Juventus.  The first (in Milan) ended in a scoreless draw, and Inter would be thrilled to leave Turin with the same result. But Juventus are playing the best soccer in Italy at the moment and will be at home this time around. Don’t expect Inter to be able to hold them off the board for 90 minutes again.

Pick: Juventus (-142).
