But Taylor’s newest animosity is one that star insiders is calling the “most important of her career.” This one isn’t about background dancer drama or broken hearts, it’s about her livelihood.

Taylor Swift’s newest enemy is none other than Scooter Braun. You may recognize Braun’s name as a manager to many celebs.
From Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato to Carly Rae Jepsen and Ariana Grande, Braun’s client list is nothing short of impressive. He’s a modern day entrepreneur who only handles Hollywood’s elite.
Braun’s recent acquisition of Big Machine Records with fellow businessman Scott Borchetta (the label’s founder) sees Braun with his hands on Swift’s back catalogue. And that’s where things get sticky.
Since the acquisition happened, Swift has been on a war path to get Braun’s hands off her material. It’s gotten sticky, and the entire situation is now nothing short of a social dumpster fire.
The People vs Scooter Braun
After the deal went through, Taylor Swift was devastated about the potential of her life’s work to be mismanaged and mishandled. The past few months have been weird for Swift and her fan base. The focus has shifted away from promotion of her album Lover to be all about the Braun/Big Machine deal.
After Swift posted a social media plea (er, rant?) about Braun and the label deal, her fan base got involved. Many back and forth shots have been fired, most recently with Braun posting to Instagram that he and his family have actually received death threats from Swift’s fan base.
This situation is nothing short of heated. The loyal army of #Swifties have raced to her rescue, and it’s easy to see how she could end up on top here, but Braun is a powerhouse businessman who has crossed his T’s and dotted his I’s in regard to this contract.
The two are locked in a debate that seems like it has no end. Given that Swift has had feuds go on for years over smaller beefs, this one has no end in sight. In fact, this feud may never, ever end.
