  • Peter Jackson will step down as Flutter’s group chief executive officer in September
  • Dan Taylor will be appointed as new chief executive officer of the company

Flutter Entertainment plc, the world’s largest online sports betting and iGaming company, will have a new chief executive officer come October.

The company today announced that current Flutter Chief Executive Officer Peter Jackson will step down from his position on Sept. 30, 2026, and be succeeded by Dan Taylor, effective Oct. 1, 2026.

Taylor is currently chief executive officer of Flutter’s International division, which generated more than $9 billion in annual revenue and $2.2 billion of adjusted EBITDA in 2025.

Jackson Steps Down After Eight Years

Jackson has served as Flutter’s CEO since January 2018. Flutter Entertainment is the parent company of FanDuel.

“It has been such a privilege to lead Flutter’s transformation, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved over nearly nine years. Flutter is a fantastic business, with a portfolio of world-class brands, talented colleagues and genuine competitive advantages. Having worked closely with Dan for many years, I have seen first-hand his ability to grow businesses, build strong teams and deliver exceptional results. I leave with great confidence in Dan, the leadership team and the company’s future,” Jackson said in a released statement.

The move comes nearly three months after FanDuel CEO Amy Howe left the company. Howe held the position since 2021 and was succeeded by then FanDuel President Christian Genetski. Jackson announced the move during the company’s Q1 earnings call earlier this year.

During the same earnings call, it was announced that Taylor would assume the newly created role of President of Flutter Entertainment, taking on oversight of the FanDuel business in addition to his existing responsibilities.

As Flutter President since May 2026, the company noted Taylor has played a central role in shaping FanDuel’s recent sportsbook improvement plan.

“I’m delighted to take on the role of Group Chief Executive Officer at such an important time for Flutter. Our priority will be to keep delivering for our colleagues, customers and shareholders, while building on the momentum we’ve created across the business. The opportunities ahead are significant – both those we see in the market today and those we will create ourselves in the future. I look forward to leading the business as we continue to innovate, grow and build on the strengths that make Flutter unique,” Taylor said in a released statement.

Flutter Announces Q2 U.S. Revenue Decline

Flutter Entertainment also today announced its 2026 U.S. Q2 results, which saw a net loss of $296 million, a $1.57 loss per share. In its Q2 2025 results, Flutter Entertainment reported $37 million in earnings and a gain of $0.59 per share.

The company announced adjusted EBITDA declined by 45% in the quarter to $508 million, down from $919 million in last year. Flutter Entertainment group revenue increased by 3% to $4.326 billion on the quarter, compared with $4.187 billion last year.

Due to these factors, Flutter Entertainment today announced a reduction to its full year group revenue guiding of $395 million to $17.91 billion at the midpoint and a reduction of its adjusted EBITDA guidance of $210 million to $2.655 billion.

U.S. Q2 revenues decreased 6% year-over-year, with sportsbook revenues decreased by 15%, but iGaming revenues growing by 14%. Despite the benefit of strong customer engagement in the recent NBA finals and FIFA World Cup, sportsbook customers profited 6% more in this quarter than they did compared with the same quarter in 2025.
