The Toronto Blue Jays (39-45) welcome the New York Mets (35-49) to Rogers Centre tonight, for Game 1 of their interleague series at 7:07 PM EST. Both clubs are reeling. Toronto is favored in the MLB odds, despite being swept by the Texas Rangers over the weekend. New York meanwhile, is fresh off dropping two of three to the Philadelphia Phillies.
With both rosters sitting well below .500 and their seasons having fallen off a cliff, they desperately need to string together some wins. I am looking past the ugly win-loss records to find value in the prop markets. Elite sluggers like Juan Soto and Vladimir Guerrero Jr offer plenty of actionable angles.
Below, you’ll find my top player prop picks and best bets for Mets vs Blue Jays on June 29th.

Taking a closer look at the hitting market in the MLB props, Soto headlines the power upside with the shortest odds on the board to hit a home run at +313. His ability to drive the ball is heavily respected by oddsmakers, giving us an approachable +125 price tag on his Over 1.5 total bases. Also working in his favor, is the fact that Rogers Centre is one of the most hitter friendly venues per the MLB park factors.
Guerrero Jr offers near certainty for contact, which is why his Over 0.5 hits is juiced all the way to -276. If you want to back the Toronto slugger, pivoting to his Over 1.5 total bases at +111 offers a much better payout.
On the mound, Trey Yesavage is pegged for an elevated strikeout total of 6.5, though the Under is favored at -147. Conversely, Sean Manaea faces a much lower hurdle. His strikeout line sits at 3.5, with heavy -146 juice leaning toward the Over.
Player Prop Picks and Best Bets for Mets vs Blue Jays
While specific situational batting trends against these exact pitchers are unavailable, I have identified strong mathematical edges using season-long metrics. Based on the statistical profiles and current market prices, these are my two favorite ways to attack tonight’s slate.
Pick 1: Juan Soto Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125 at DraftKings)

I am looking straight at the value presented by Soto’s offensive dominance. Taking plus-money on him to record multiple bases is heavily supported by his elite power metrics this season.
Soto brings a .300 batting average, .567 slugging percentage, and a massive .973 OPS to the plate. Yesavage is having a respectable season with a 3.56 ERA, but he struggles with command. He currently walks 4.45 batters per nine innings.
If Yesavage is forced to throw strikes in the zone to avoid putting runners on, Soto has the pure hitting ability to make him pay. Getting a player with his extra-base potential at +125 to record two bases is a prime value play I cannot ignore.
Pick 2: Sean Manaea Over 3.5 Pitcher Strikeouts (-146 at Bet365)
Oddsmakers have set the bar surprisingly low for the New York southpaw. Over 57.1 innings pitched this season, Manaea carries an elevated 4.86 ERA, but his ability to miss bats remains intact.
Manaea boasts a strikeout rate of 9.42 per nine innings, meaning he averages more than one punch-out per frame. To clear this 3.5 line, he realistically only needs to survive four functional innings. That shouldn’t be a problem versus the current Toronto lineup.
Per the batter vs pitcher stats, Manaea has a 30% K rate versus active Blue Jays batters. Even if Toronto strings together some base hits, Manaea’s swing-and-miss stuff should easily carry him past this number.
