The beauty of the 2022 NBA Draft odds is the uncertainty of it all. There’s no Zion Williamson or LeBron James who is the consensus first pick of all the NBA pundits and insiders.

Who’s going first overall? Will it be Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren? Is it Jabari Smith of Auburn? What about Duke’s Paulo Banchero?

This instability seems to be working its way all through the first round of the NBA Draft. That means there are great odds to be had and money to be made by those bettors who can correctly assess the outcomes.

Luckily, DraftKings is offering a series of prop wagers relating to various outcomes in the NBA Draft. There are a number of ways you can go with your wagers, from setting where a player is going to go in the draft order to player position over/unders and player head-to-head plays.

The NBA Draft is slated to be held Thursday, June 23 at 8:00 pm ET at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. ESPN is carrying the broadcast. It’s also available for streaming online at WatchESPN. When checking out the NBA Draft betting lines, why not also have an early gander at the NBA Championship odds for next season?

Ivey Is Money At #4 in the NBA Draft

While the #1 overall pick can vary between Holmgren, Smith, or Banchero, depending upon which mock draft you call up and study, there does appear to be a consensus on who will be following the top three. Purdue Boilermakers guard Jaden Ivey is almost exclusively slotted it as the #4 overall choice.

Ivey is seen by many NBA scouts as the most pro-ready of the top prospects in the 2022 draft. His combination of physical tools and ability to create shots will make Ivy an NBA all-star. His versatility and ability to play either point guard or shooting guard only adds to his value.

In fact, the question doesn’t appear to be if Ivey will go at #4, but rather which team will get Ivey at #4? The Sacramento Kings are holding the fourth overall selection. However, with De’Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell already on the roster, the backcourt isn’t really a pressing issue for the Kings.

Some insiders are going as far as to suggest that this is when the draft will really get exciting because there are so many suitors for Ivey’s talent that are queueing up to make a bid for the #4 pick. Among the teams expected to be interested are the Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder.

No matter which team ends up making the pick, the player they will be taking with the pick will be Ivey.

Pick: Jaden Ivey 4th Overall (-155)

Mathurin to Pistons Seems a Good Marriage

According to NBA insiders, Arizona Wildcats swingman Bennedict Mathurin was turning heads with every stop he made along the private workout trail. Whether it be his on-court skills, his workout scores, or his interview answers, the Canadian from Montreal was hitting it out of the park and his draft stock keeps on rising.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find an NBA mock draft that doesn’t have Mathurin slotted in as the #5 overall selection to the Detroit Pistons. Mathurin’s ability to shoot off screens should make him a valuable NBA player. He would work well in combination with 2021-22 rookie Cade Cunningham. There’s also speculation that Detroit may be looking to move Jerami Grant and that it could happen sooner rather than later.

In the rare mock drafts that saw the Pistons going another route instead of Mathurin, almost none of them also view him getting past the Indiana Pacers, who are picking at #6. Mathurin under 6.5 looks to be a solid value play.

Pick: Bennedict Mathurin under 6.5 (+180)

Davis a Touch Ahead of Griffin

Sometimes when it comes to NBA draft day, fit can be as important as talent. When taking an overview of the 2022 NBA Draft class, Johnny Davis and AJ Griffin both figure to land somewhere in the 9-11 range.

Duke forward Griffin might be the best pure shooter in the draft. He hit 45% of his 3-pointers last season. Then there’s the added intrigue of his 7-foot wingspan.

The Washington Wizards, who pick at #10, are in desperate need of help at guard. They’re working the phones, trying to make a deal for a veteran NBA guard. If they are also looking to the future, Davis would appear to be a natural fit for them.

An All-American at Wisconsin, Davis is known for his unselfishness, winning approach, shooting eye, and versatility. However, perhaps his most valuable trait is his commitment to defense. He’s passionate about playing the game well without the ball. All that combined might make him an ideal pairing with Bradley Beal in the Washington backcourt.

It’ll be close, but Davis should come off the NBA Draft board just slightly before Griffin does.

Pick: Johnny Davis ahead of AJ Griffin (-155)
