The #22 Colorado State Rams have certainly had the number of the Wyoming Cowboys in recent years. However, over that span, they’ve never faced a Wyoming team that was this talented.
Then again, this Colorado State team is also not too shabby. KemPom rates the Rams as the #47 team in the NCAA. The Cowboys aren’t far behind, holding down #54 in the rankings.
It’s Wyoming that oddsmakers are leaning slightly toward in the betting line for this game. The Cowboys are set as slight 1-point home favorites. Wyoming is just 2-4-1 against the spread at home this season.

Tipoff for Monday’s game is set for 8pm ET at the Arena-Auditorium. FS1 is carrying the game. The broadcast can also be live-streamed through FoxSports.com or the Fox Sports Go app.
As the -125 favorites, Wyoming is given an implied probability of 55.56% of winning the game. Colorado State comes in with an IP of victory of 48.78%, based on the Rams’ moneyline of +105. The Cowboys opened as 1.5-point favorites, so the line has shortened.
The total has gone over in nine of last 13 games between the Rams and the Cowboys. In that sense, the over on the total of 146 looks like the logical play. However, four of Wyoming’s last six games have gone under. So have nine of Colorado State’s last 11 games. As well, the last five road games played by the Rams also went under. Whether you go with the over or the under, you’ll get the same -110 odds.
March Madness Aspirations
The Cowboys (5-1) and Rams (6-2) hold down two of the top three placings in Mountain West Conference standings. Both schools have a legitimate shot to reach the NCAA Tournament. CSU’s Final Four odds are among the top 40 in the country.
Certainly, that makes their two regular-season meetings all the more significant. Colorado State has won five of six overall between the two schools. The Rams are also 5-1 SU in their past six visits to Laramie.

The Rams are one of just four schools that rank in the top 30 in the NCAA field goal (fourth, 49.75%), 3-point (18th, 38.32%) and free throw (seventh, 79.14%) shooting percentages. They’re also 16th nationally in fewest turnovers at 10.2 per game and 11th on assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.50.
Colorado State is the top-scoring offense in the Mountain West Conference (78.3 ppg). Wyoming is third, scoring 76.7 ppg. The Cowboys are second in the conference and No. 16 in the nation in 3-point field goal defense. They’re holding teams to 28% from behind the arc. Wyoming averages 10.6 turnovers per game, ranking the Cowboys T23 in the nation.

However, Colorado State won twice last season at Laramie. The Rams were 74-72 victors on Feb. 4 and 68-59 winners on Feb. 6. Colorado State’s last loss at Wyoming came in 2019.
