Vikings vs Bears

  • Pick: Vikings

The Bears have been poor all season long at 3-13 and that was with Justin Fields. Despite being 63 yards away from breaking the single-season QB rushing record, Fields is being sat in Week 18 with a hip injury.

That puts Nathan Peterman under center. Peterman has attempted six passes this season. He has just three touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his career. The Bears’ offense ran through Fields’ literally. And Fields was sacked 55 times. The Bears have allowed the third-most sacks overall at 57.

With a much less mobile Peterman against a Vikings team still with a shot at the number two seed, it’s hard to see a Bears win this weekend. The Vikings are coming off a 41-17 beatdown against the Packers and need to work in a backup center in Chris Reed. Therefore, they’re likely to keep Kirk Cousins in for the majority of the game to fine tune the offense heading into the playoffs.

Justin Jefferson is 194 yards away from breaking the single-season receiving record, and Za’Darius Smith is half a sack away from hitting another $250k bonus in player incentives, so there are plenty of reasons for Minnesota to take this matchup seriously.

Rams vs Seahawks

  • Pick: Seahawks

Just when you had no expectations for the Rams they sprung to life on Christmas Day and delivered their fans an unexpected gift with a 51-14 thumping of the Broncos. Maybe you thought they could get up for another game on New Year’s Day against local rivals the Chargers? If you did, you’d be wrong. The Rams went right back into the tank and lost 31-10.

Now they’ll travel to Seattle to face the 8-8 Seahawks who are still clinging to playoff hopes. The Seahawks are in with a win and some help. The schedule makers did the Hawks a favor giving them two home games to end the season. Last week they demolished the Jets 23-6 at Lumen Field and they’ll hope to use that homefield advantage once again on Sunday against a Rams team that is just 1-6 on the road.

Ravens vs Bengals

  • Pick: Bengals

The Bengals are heavy 10-point favorites at home to the Ravens this week. Cincinnati has already been awarded the AFC North title and are still alive for the top spot in the AFC. After having their MNF game cancelled last week, they’ll be looking to get a full game under their belts heading into the playoffs. They’ll also want to avenge an earlier season 19-17 loss in Baltimore.

That loss was one of just four for the Bengals this year.

Baltimore has both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley listed as questionable. That means Anthony Brown is likely set to start at QB. The rookie was 3/5 for 17 yards in his only action this season. The Ravens haven’t scored more than 17 points in any of their past five games, averaging just 11.8 during that time. That won’t be enough to go to Ohio and win.

NFL Parlay Week 17 picks: Vikings, Seahawks, Bengals (+107); risk 1 unit

NFL Week 18 Teaser Odds

Matchup Pick (Teaser Odds)
Browns vs Steelers Steelers -2.5 (+7.5)
Cardinals vs 49ers 49ers -14 (-4)
Giants vs Eagles Eagles -14 (-4)
TOTAL ODDS -118

NFL Week 18 Teaser Picks

NFL betting sites allow you to create an NFL teaser for almost any amount of points. Head over to Barstool Sportsbook to create this ten-point teaser. This week we’ve turned the Steelers into underdogs and brought 14-point favorites in the 49ers and Eagles down to 4-point favorites.

Browns vs Steelers

  • Pick: Steelers (+7.5)

This looked like the first season that Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin would fail to finish without a losing record. That still may happen. but after wins in five of their past six games, including last week’s 16-13 road win in Baltimore, the Steelers are sitting at 8-8 and still alive in the AFC playoff conversation. In fact, their lone defeat came a month ago at home to the Ravens, and only by two points (16-14).

The Browns are out of the playoffs but did spring off the mat last week to upset the Commanders 24-10 in Washington. They’ve also already defeated the Steelers once this season, 29-17 back in September.

The Browns haven’t looked great since Deshaun Watson returned from suspension, but this is still a team with a solid defense, and that has won four of six down the stretch. Cleveland has allowed just 10, 17, 3, 23, 14 and 17 points in those past six games.

The Steelers don’t score much, but they too have only allowed 13, 10, 16, 16, 16 and 17 points in their past six games. No matter how this one ends, it should be close. Teasing Pittsburgh all the way to a 7.5-point dog is our play.

Cardinals vs 49ers

  • Pick: 49ers (-4)

Another week, another loss for the Arizona Cardinals who fell 20-19 in Atlanta in Week 17. It’s now six losses in a row and in 8/9.

Will that streak come to an end in San Francisco this week with David Blough as quarterback? I doubt it. But betting anyone in the NFL as a double-digit favorite is not something I want to do. Therefore, I’d rather throw the 49ers into this Week 18 teaser.

San Francisco is still in the running for a bye in the NFC Playoffs. And despite the Raiders giving San Fran all they could handle last week, the 49ers edged out a 37-34 OT win and have now won nine straight by an average of 14.88 points.

Giants vs Eagles

  • Pick: Eagles (-4)

The Giants are stuck in the sixth spot in the NFC playoff picture. And while head coach Brian Daboll hasn’t said he’ll be resting players, it seems only logical that several key starters will either sit or see limited playing time.

Meanwhile, with teams still on their heels for top spot in the conference and in the division, the Eagles need a win here. Couple that with Jalen Hurts “trending in the right direction” to playing on Sunday and taking the Eagles way down to just 4-point favorites versus 14, will be our final play in this Week 18 teaser.

  • NFL Teaser Week 18 picks (10 points): Steelers +7.5 / 49ers -4 / Eagles -4 (-118); risk 1 unit
