The Cincinnati Bengals will try to win their first AFC North title since 2015 and cool off the NFL’s hottest team when they host the Kansas City Chiefs at 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals (9-6) have won back-to-back games to take a one-game lead in the division over the Baltimore Ravens (8-7) with two to play. Cincinnati holds the head-to-head tiebreaker because it won both games against the Ravens.

The Chiefs (11-4) are on an eight-game winning streak and have clinched their sixth straight AFC West championship.

Kansas City is favored in a game that will televised by CBS.

The line has gone up slightly after the Chiefs opened as four-point favorites. Kansas City is drawing 61% of the betting handle and 65% of the total bets.

It could be a miserable day along the banks of the Ohio River. There is a 60% of a mixture of rain and snow with a high temperature of 40 degrees forecasted and northwest wind at 11 mph.

Chiefs Offense vs Bengals Defense

One of the most surprising aspects of the Chiefs’ 36-10 rout of the Pittsburgh Steelers last week at home is they got minimal contributions from wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The speedster had just two catches for 19 yards after spending the week on the COVID-19/reserve list.

Look for Hill to get more involved in this game. He is fifth in the NFL in receiving yardage with 1,197 on 104 catches with nine touchdowns. Hill is one reception away from matching tight end Travis Kelce’s franchise record for a single season set last year.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be trying to win his 27th consecutive start in the months of November, December and January. He has a 33-5 career record in those months.

The Chiefs will likely rely heavily on the passing game. The Bengals are fourth in the league in run defense.

Bengals Offense vs Chiefs Defense

Joe Burrow is coming off one of the greatest passing days in NFL history as he torched the Ravens for 525 yards last week. That is a franchise record and the fourth-highest total in league annals.

Burrow needs 38 completions to break Carson Palmer’s single-season franchise record of 373 set in 2007. Burrow also needs 129 yards passing and four touchdown passes to break Andy Dalton’s records of 4,293 yards and 33 TDs in 2013.

Running back Joe Mixon’s 16 touchdowns are one shy of the Bengals’ record set by Carl Pickens in 1995.

The Chiefs rank 21st in the NFL in total defense but are fifth in scoring defense.

Chiefs vs Bengals Recent History

The last time the teams met in 2018, the Chiefs emphatically ended the Bengals’ four-game winning streak in the series with a 45-10 victory in Kansas City. Mahomes passed for 358 yards and four touchdowns.

Chiefs vs Bengals Injury Report

Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (collarbone) is questionable after being injured in last week’s game. He leads the team in rushing with 517 yards despite playing in just ten of Kansas City’s 15 games.

Cornerback Jalen Davis (ankle) and defensive end Cameron Sample (hamstring) have been ruled out for the Bengals.

Chiefs vs Bengals Prediction

Burrow is turning into one of the league’s best quarterbacks, but he isn’t in Mahomes’ class yet. And despite having the division title wrapped up, the Chiefs are still playing for the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the playoff bye that goes with it.

Look for the Chiefs to keep the winning streak going, even on the road against a team looking to win its division.
