Cowboys vs Giants Props #1: Lamb Receiving Yards & Longest Reception

With Kellen Moore out and head coach Mike McCarthy assuming play-calling duties, it’s expected to that Dallas could be more run-heavy. But they still have to pass the ball.

Enter CeeDee Lamb, one of the best pass-catchers and playmakers in the NFL. Lamb crossed this receiving total 11 times in 17 games, and both times against the Giants.

in Week 3 he caught eight balls for 87 yards and score, and had six grabs for 106 yards in Week 12, both Dallas wins.

Not only that, but Lamb gets his in chunks. He topped his longest reception total of 23.5 yards in 11 games last year, including catches of 25 and 26 yards vs the G-Men.

Prop Picks:

  • Lamb OVER 70.5 receiving yards (-120); 1 unit to win 0.83 units
  • Lamb OVER 23.5 yards longest reception (-120); 1 unit to win 0.83 units

Cowboys vs Giants Props #2: Dak Prescott Passing Yards & INT’s

Is Dak Prescott destined to be a glorified game-managing QB now?

I think early on, McCarthy does want to establish freshly-minted starter Tony Pollard as the centerpiece of the offensive attack.

Still, 241.5 is an awfully low number to set for a guy who has proven to be able to sling it all over the field. Dak crossed that total on the regular last year, doing it eight times in 12 games.

Keep in mind that’s coming off a down year, and right into our next prop to hammer.

Dak was picked off 13 times in his 12 starts, including two in his lone game against these Giants.

Dating back to 2019, New York has picked off Prescott at least once in four the last five meetings.

Prop Pick:

  • Prescott OVER 241.5 passing yards (-115); 1 unit to win 0.87 units
  • Prescott OVER 0.5 interceptions (-105); 1 unit to win 0.95 units

Cowboys vs Giants Touchdown Scorer Odds

These wrap up these Week 1 NFL player props by predicting who finds paydirt.

New Cowboy Brandin Cooks (+245) has scored a touchdown in four of his last five appearances with his team as a favorite, while Lamb has punched in at least one major in each of the Cowboys’ last three games as favorites against NFC opponents.

For New York, Saquon Barkley has scored a touchdown in five of his last six regular season games with the Giants as underdogs. He also tallied TD’s in both meetings against Dallas last year.

Darren Waller making a scoring splash in his debut pays out at +185, or maybe go for less unheralded Isaiah Hodgins (+290), who ended last year with TD’s in four of his last five games.

Prop Picks:

  • Barkley ANYTIME TD scorer (+100); 1 unit to win 1 unit
