We’re inching closer to one of the biggest spectacles in the sports world — the Super Bowl 57 Halftime Show, headlined by Rihanna.
With no other artists on the official docket, it’s Ri-Ri’s stage, and the betting lines on her performance have moved significantly, even more than the 2023 Super Bowl odds between the Chiefs and Eagles.
That doesn’t mean there can’t be a cameo, even with last year’s star-studded ensemble of Dr Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Mary J Blige and Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent still found some air time with “In Da Club”.
Let’s break this down and get you set for halftime. It’s a good a chance as any to remind you to take advantage of the Super Bowl betting promotions, with all the sites using major incentives to get you on board. But keep in mind that many of these halftime props are striclty for entertainment purposes and cannot be bet on at legal sportsbooks.

Plenty of changes to report here, since our initial Super Bowl Halftime Show props piece. Don’t Stop The Music is now the betting favorite to be the opening song in Arizona, shortening to +150.
Originally, it started at +400, tied with both Diamonds and B**ch Better Have My Money.
Tumbling downwards were also Umbrella (from +700 to +1300) and Disturbia (from +900 to +1500). Makes sense, as these songs have more mid-range to closer potential than an opening.
Still, can’t shake the notion that just a quick opening beat and riff from Run This Town sets this off.
Pick:
- Run This Town (+400)

Super Bowl Halftime Last Song Odds

---|---|
Diamonds | +100 |
Umbrella | +300 |
Run This Town | +350 |
Don’t Stop The Music | +600 |

SOS | +1000 |
B**ch Better Have My Money | +1200 |
Disturbia | +1200 |
Stay | +1500 |
Significant happenings for the last song as well.
Diamonds, which opened with +1000 odds have shrunk all the way down to the betting favorite, now at +100.
Umbrella doesn’t move at +300, while Run This Town shortens from +500 down to +350 odds.
The latter two are classics featuring Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation now curates the halftime extravaganza. Fresh off a dynamite closing performance at the Grammy’s, could he also be the one who closes things down with Rihanna as the guest performer?

Perhaps, but I’m leaning another way. If the show ends with an electric bang, then Please Don’t Stop the Music feels like the song to close things out. The odds actually lengthened from opening odds, from +500 to +600.
We’re going to go with a little value here.
Pick:
- Please Don’t Stop the Music (+600)

When you’re as accomplished as Rihanna, and have worked with the biggest names in the industry, this wager might be the one that turns out most lucrative, if you can nail the right one.
I would have bet almost everything I own that prior to Kanye going … uh, Kanye, that he and Paul McCartney would have hit the soft spot of the program with FourFiveSeconds.
Now? I really like the idea of Pharrell and Drake dropping by to perform Lemon, which is an absolute banger.
That’s one of five great tracks Drake and Rihanna have collaborated on: Take Care, Too Good, What’s My Name and Work being the others.
FanDuel has Work as a distant +2500 for opening song in case you’re interested. It’s definitely a long shot — however if Drake does appear that song has to be on the set list.
Not much of a reach here, just playing the percentages.
Pick:
- Drake (-150)

Rihanna Hair Color for Super Bowl
I know this doesn’t mean anything, but the most recent Rihanna sighting was on Tuesday night, part of a video tribute as LeBron James became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history.
In that video, her hair is black. There’s plenty of time to get her hair done by halftime, and if you’re going to actually go after this bet, seek out some value. Basically, anything but black.
As for the color of dress: even if I thought it was black, there’s just a good a chance she comes out in something bright and stunning. There’s a reason she’s considered a fashion icon.
Pick:
- Hair: Red
- Dress: White

Over/Under Songs Performed
Last year, the Dr Dre-led all-star team totaled eight songs. The Weeknd got through nine songs during his Super Bowl 55 setlist, while the year prior, Shakira and JLo packed 17 songs in their set.
In 2019, Maroon 5 also performed nine songs, while Justin Timberlake crossed the total with 11.
Only JT and the Shakira/JLo have gone over the total in the 2000s in Super Bowl halftime history.
Even with the extended halftime show, which runs up to 30 minutes, the building and breaking down of the stage means at most she’ll have a precious 12-15 minutes to work with.
However, if there’s someone with a playlist that could definitely work itself into a medley (and into the over), it’s Rihanna.
Pick:
- Over 8.5 songs
