Playing their first home game in nearly a month, the Cardinals meet the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC West matchup at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, at 8:15 pm ET Monday and a large amount of money is betting bet on Arizona.

As two-point favorites, the Cardinals are drawing 79% of the spread handle despite getting 71% of the bets in NFL betting trends.

Arizona (10-2) has the best record in the NFL and is coming off back-to-back wins but is just 3-2 at home. The Rams (8-4) ended their three-game losing streak last week by routing the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-7 at home.

Public Betting the Cardinals to Cover

The Cardinals opened as three-point favorites, but the line quickly dropped to two then eventually down to 1.5 before ticking back up.

Part of that could be a reaction to the Rams breaking their losing streak in convincing fashion. Matthew Stafford threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns while Sony Michel rushed for a season-high 121 yards and a score with Darrell Henderson injured.

That could make Michel a favored play in the Rams vs Cardinals prop bets.

A late-money surge on Arizona has pushed the spread to two.

The handle shifted to the Rams at midweek. They were at 23% on Tuesday but that figure rose to 51% on Thursday.

A slew of bets on the Cardinals over the weekend pushed them to current figure of 72% of the handle. Yet Arizona has gone from 2.5-point picks Friday to two-point choices.

Bettors Love the Over

The total now stands at 51 points, down from opening at 52.5

The handle was split through midweek before the Over ticket increase to 60% of the handle Friday with the total down to 51.5. Now the Over is getting 79% of the handle and 71% of the bets as the line has dropped again to 51.

The downward shift is a little surprising considering the Cardinals are third in the NFL in scoring with 28.6 points a game and the Rams are fifth with a 28.0 mark.

While most of the indicators show the sharp money has been evenly distributed in this game, it does seem like the wise guys like the Over to an extent as evidenced by the 8% difference between the handle and total bets.

Money Slightly on Cardinals to Win

The moneyline has shifted to the Rams after they opened at +134 and the Cardinals at -158. Those odds are now +115 and -135.

Playing into those moves could be the Cardinals’ aforementioned lackluster home record. The Rams are 4-2 on the road, though they’ve dropped their last two games away from Los Angeles.

The Rams were bet down to +105 by Thursday but the line rose slightly the next day and has since held steady.

The handle is close to even as the Cardinals are getting 54% of the wagers and the Rams are at 46%.
