The Minnesota Vikings are going to be without starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw for their Week 12 TNF game against the New England Patriots. That’s akin to giving NFL sack leader Matthew Judon a free lane for getting after Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Under normal circumstances, Darrisaw would be drawing the assignment of neutralizing Patriots edge Judon.
Minnesota will also be playing without cornerback Andrew Booth Jr (knee). Meanwhile, the Patriots are ruling out left guard Isaiah Wynn (foot).
Vikings Favored at Home
Oddsmakers are setting Minnesota as a 2.5-point home favorite over New England in the Patriots vs Vikings picks. However, the NFL odds are showing that New England is 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread through the last three road games.
Kickoff at US Bank Stadium is set for 8:15 pm ET on Thursday, November 24. The weather forecast is calling for clear skies, 6 mph wind and a temperature of 40 degrees. None of that will matter playing inside the stadium’s climate-controlled dome.
The game is airing exclusively on Amazon Prime as part of a new partnership for Thursday Night Football with Amazon. The public is siding with the Vikings as 2.5-point favorites in the Patriots vs Vikings betting splits.

New England Patriots Injury Report
The offensive front for the Patriots is showing that three of their five starting offensive linemen are carrying an injury designation. Not only will they be feeling Wynn’s absence at left guard, he’s also the first backup on the depth chart at left and right tackle.
Right tackle Yodny Cajuste (calf) and center David Andrews (thigh) are both coming up on the injury list as questionable. Each has been limited at practice this week. Andrews was forced out of action in last week’s 10-3 win over the New York Jets.
David Andrews is incredibly tough. He suffered a thigh injury on Sunday and underwent an MRI yesterday.
Results came back and showed it was something he wanted to attempt to play through, per source.

The hero of that game, cornerback Marcus Jones, whose rambling 84-yard last-minute punt return touchdown snapped the 3-3 tie, is also questionable with an ankle injury.
Starting WR DeVante Parker (knee) is another Patriots player displaying an injury designation of questionable.
Minnesota Vikings Injury Report
There were a couple of comforting notes for the Vikings in their final injury update for this game. SLB Za’Darius Smith, who’d been carrying a designation of questionable due to a knee injury, is no longer on the Minnesota injury report. The Vikings’ sack leader with 9.5, Wednesday saw Smith taking part in a full practice.
WR Justin Jefferson (toe) was also a full participant in practice, leading to his removal from the injury list. That’s exciting news for anyone planning to wager on Jefferson in the Patriots vs Vikings player props.
LDE Dalvin Tomlinson (calf) was limited in practice all week. Booth was starting last week in place of Akayleb Evans,. He’s out with a concussion.
The Minnesota CB room is getting thinner by the day. Cameron Dantzler Sr, the starter for the first eight games this season, and Lewis Cline are on IR. Chandon Sullivan is stepping to start at RCB this week. He’s been a starter for six games this season.
How Could Injuries Affect Patriots vs Vikings Lines?
A top contender in the NFL DPOY odds, Judon is leading the NFL with 13.5 sacks. He was collecting seven sacks, nine QB hits and six tackles for losses over his last four games. He’s got a real shot at Andre Tippett’s club record of 18.5 sacks.
Minus Darrisaw, second-year tackle Blake Brandel must be dealing with Judon while making his first NFL start. Brandel saw action on a career-high 68% of offensive snaps in last week’s 40-3 loss to Dallas after replacing the injured Darrisaw.

For the Patriots, their lacking depth at OL is concerning. As a starter, Wynn is showing seven appearances at right and left tackle this season and two games at left guard. Rookie Cole Strange was stepping in effectively for Wynn against the Jets last week, though.
If Andrews isn’t capable of answering the bell, James Ferentz would be making his third start of the season and third in four games. The Patriots were signing Conor McDermott off the Jets’ practice squad Tuesday. He’ll be serving as a backup tackle.
Playing just one snap in Week 8, Parker was out Week 9. In last week’s win over the Jets, he was catching two passes while playing 40% of offensive snaps.
