My last time out, I learned what a round robin bet was, which is the last type of bet on my journey here at SBD.

It came with great success, as I nailed three out of four teams I loaded up in the parlay. Thanks to the nature of the bet, all was not lost when the Bears couldn’t keep up with the Rams in Week 11. Instead, I walked away from the week with an extra 3.88 units, my biggest win yet.

Now that I have a full understanding of not only the traditional bets you can make on a game, but also the more exotic ones as well, SportsBettingDime is giving me the freedom over the final five weeks of the season to choose what type of bets I want to make.

Here’s what I’m playing in Week 13:

Mangold’s Week 13 Picks

When I first started my sports betting journey here at SBD, I had been playing a four-team parlay every Sunday with my friends. But Matt McEwan, the Editor-in-Chief at SportsBettingDime, made it very clear that my probability of hitting a parlay with that many events in it is extremely low.

So even though I’m going back to the parlay in Week 13, I’m sticking with just three teams:

  • Baltimore Ravens -5.5
  • Miami Dolphins +10
  • Washington Redskins +10

I absolutely love the Ravens over the Niners this week. And with the spread opening at BAL -4.5 and moving to 5.5, it’s clear I’m not the only one.

San Francisco has to travel a long way to Baltimore and they won’t be greeted with pleasant weather when they get there. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense won’t be affected by the rain as much as the 49ers, and we’ll see yet another impressive win by the now Super Bowl favorites.

Parlay & Payout

3-Team Parlay Odds
BAL -5.5, MIA +10, WAS +10 +553

Odds taken November 30.

In scouring the rest of the Week 13 odds, I love two heavy underdogs: the Dolphins and the Redskins.

Miami has covered the spread in five of their last seven, and the Eagles have consistently underwhelmed this season. This line opened at 7.5 and has moved to 10. So I’ll take what I believe is a lot of value in Miami.

Washington is coming off a big win in Week 12, and we’ve watched Carolina drop four of their last five games. This is too many points for a Panthers team who has only won two games by more than ten points this season.
