  • Tim Tebow has not played in the NFL since 2012
  • Sportsbooks’ latest NFL prop sets the odds at +5000 that he’ll sign with Miami
  • Is he a viable option for the Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins are struggling, to put it mildly. They are 0-2 and have been outscored 102-10 through two weeks of the season. They have been terrible on both sides of the ball, but their offense, especially QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, has been miserable.

Whether or not they make a quarterback change remains to be seen. They seem (understandably) hesitant to throw second-year pivot Josh Rosen behind one of the worst offensive lines in NFL history. If they do go a new route under center, sportsbooks are offering a prop on if it being for Florida Gator standout Tim Tebow.

Yes +5000

Is There Any Value?

Even at +5000, there is no value on betting this prop. Tim Tebow has not played in the NFL for seven years and it’s incredibly unlikely the Dolphins would look to him to salvage their season.

The only reason why they may want to sign Tim Tebow is to pique interest and get fans into the stadium. There is no question the Dolphins are the worst team in the NFL. Having “Tebow Time” to entertain the masses may at least keep the bottom line in black.

Has Tebow Even Expressed Interest in Returning to The NFL?

Tim Tebow does not seem interested in returning to football. He has been focused on playing baseball the last couple years and is currently in the New York Mets’ system, making his way all the way up to Triple-A.

He has been open about how much he loves baseball and seems committed to it. Now just one step away from the MLB, don’t expect him to drop his pursuit of becoming a big leaguer.

Right now, as long as he has a job in baseball it seems unlikely he will ever go back to football.
