The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady at 8:15 p.m. ET Thursday at Raymond James Stadium in just the second meeting between the star quarterbacks. Should you bet either QB in their TNF props?

Jackson’s 510 rushing yards rank fifth in the NFL for the Ravens (4-3), who have yet to win back-to-back games this season. Brady is sixth in passing yards with 1,942 but the Buccaneers (3-4) have lost four of their last five games following a 2-0 start to the season.

In 2019, during his final season with the New England Patriots, Brady lost to Jackson and the Ravens 37-20. We’ll be focusing on Jackson later on here in our TNF prop picks.

TNF Prop: Mike Evans Receiving Yards

The Buccaneers were stunned by the Carolina Panthers 21-3 last Sunday at Charlotte as 13.5-point favorites. Wide receiver Mike Evans set a bad tone when he dropped what would have been a 64-yard touchdown pass on the third play of the game.

Evans bounced back with nine receptions for 96 yards. He is one player Brady still trusts while the Buccaneers’ offense sputters as Evans was targeted 15 times last week.

While the Buccaneers are 21st in scoring and 22nd in total offense in the NFL this season, Brady could have success against the Ravens. Baltimore is just 26th in the league in pass defense.

Mike Evans Receiving Stats Last 5 Games

Game Receptions Yards Touchdowns
10/23 Panthers 9 96 0
10/16 Steelers 4 42 0
10/9 Falcons 4 81 0
10/2 Chiefs 8 103 2
9/18 Saints 3 61 0

Brady also has a good career track record versus the Ravens. He is 6-2 in eight regular season games, averaging 272.1 yards a game passing with 10 touchdowns.

The Buccaneers may have no choice but to throw. They are last in the NFL in rushing offense and the Ravens are 10th in rushing defense.

And Evans certainly should be motivated to redeem himself in a primetime game, making him a great play in your Ravens vs Buccaneers picks.

  • TNF Prop Pick: Mike Evans over 68.5 receiving yards (-135); risk 1 unit

TNF Prop: Lamar Jackson Rushing Yards

To put Jackson’s 510 rushing yards in perspective, it is 59 more than the Buccaneers’ team total of 451.

Jackson, who has +1400 NFL MVP odds, rushed for 59 yards on 10 carries last week in the Ravens’ 23-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns. That marked the fifth straight game in which he had at least 58 rushing yards.

Twice this season, Jackson has rushed for 100 yards. He had 119 against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 then finished with 107 against the New England Patriots the following week.

In his fifth season, Jackson has 4,183 career yards on the ground, sixth on the NFL all-time list. He needs 57 yards to move past Steve Young into fifth and should get it against a Buccaneers’ run defense that ranks 17th in the league.

  • TNF Prop Pick: Lamar Jackson over 60.5 rushing yards (-119); risk 1 unit

TNF First Touchdown Scorer Prop

The Buccaneers have not scored a touchdown in the first quarter of their last three days. Thus, picking the Ravens to post the first TD certainly seems like the way to go in this one.

Following a 107-catch season a year ago, tight end Mark Andrews has just 39 receptions through the first seven games of 2022 while being slowed by a knee injury. However, the two-time Pro Bowl selection has caught five touchdown passes, including the first of the game for the Ravens twice.

Let’s look for Andrews to find some seams early in a Buccaneers’ pass defense that is sixth in the NFL but has a banged-up secondary.

  • TNF Prop Pick: Mark Andrews first touchdown scorer +625 (0.5 unit)

TNF Prop Bet Record: Week 7. 0-3, Overall: 8-16 (-8.1 units)
