Super Bowl National Anthem Start Time, Odds & Picks
Reba McEntire will get Super Bowl 58 rolling with the singing fo the National Anthem which will take place about 10-15 minutes prior to kick-off, meaning you should be ready with your stopwatches around 6:15 pm EST.
The national anthem line Super Bowl is set at 90.5 seconds, or 1:30.5. And while historical anthem totals would be much higher than this, McEntire is known to be rather speedy with her past anthem-singing duties.
Of her anthems sung with a time on record, we can see she has taken 72 seconds, 77, 80, 65, 82, 85 and 78 seconds. That means her longest time was 1:25 and a good few seconds under this National Anthem line.
Assuming the anthem length comes in around 1:30, let’s consider another prop that asks if the shortest scoring drive will be shorter or longer than the length of the anthem.
If we look at the shortest scoring drives for these teams in the playoffs we can see for the Chiefs, the shortest scoring drive was 1:42 versus the Ravens, 3:07 versus the Bills and 0:50 seconds versus the Dolphins, with a second that was 1:25.
For the 49ers, versus the Lions the shortest score took 1:41 and versus the Packers it was 1:48.
In last year’s Super Bowl the shortest scoring drives were 0:49 and 1:22.
So that’s mixed bag of results there to consider. But both teams are top-ten when it comes to yards allowed per game defensively and should do enough to limit any quick-strike scores, making the plus-money on the “No” look like a good Super Bowl prop bet.

Depending on how you want to bet on the length of the anthem, it could create a second betting opportunity for you to bet on the length of how long she sings the word “brave” at the end.
Feel like she’ll go under 90.5 seconds? Then she likely won’t drag out that note. Like the over? Well that last note will probably hang just a bit longer than 3.5 seconds.

Ok first things first. If you are going to bet on the coin toss, that’s all fine and good. But please, shop around and find a book that is offering even-money (+100) odds on both outcomes. The coin-toss is a true 50-50 outcome and there is absolutely no reason you should be laying juice on this Super Bowl prop. Luckily you can find +100 odds on the coin-toss at the DraftKings app.
If you aren’t signed up at one of the best apps to bet on Super Bowl that offers this, there is the option of simply making this bet with a friend and paying each other at even odds.
But assuming you are betting this prop at +100 odds, here are some coin-toss trends to consider.
In the history of the Super Bowl coin toss, tails holds the all-time lead at 30-27. It was tails last year when the Cheifs beat the Eagles and it’s been tails in seven of the past ten Super Bowls.
That includes a tails result in Super Bowl 54 when these teams last played.
If you look at additional Super Bowl props and want to bet on the team winning the coin toss to go on to win the game, well those trends would say the contrary. The team to win the coin toss has only gone on to win the Super Bowl once in the past nine Super Bowls.
