  • The Vegas Golden Knights are -155 home favorites over the New York Rangers in their NHL game scheduled for Wednesday, December 7
  • Vegas has won two in a row and six of seven from New York
  • The Rangers are 1-3 straight up all-time at Vegas

Coming back from a 3-1 road trip, the Vegas Golden Knights (19-7-1) will be seeking to rediscover their home-ice mojo against a struggling New York Rangers (12-10-5) club.

Launching a quick two-game Western swing, the Rangers are currently in the midst of a 2-4-1 skid. But they are 3-1-1 in their past five road games.

Vegas lost two in a row at home prior to embarking on the aforementioned away journey. The Golden Knights were outscored 9-3 in those two setbacks. In fact, they’re 2-4 in their past six home games.

Oddsmakers are expecting the Golden Knights to bounce back. Vegas is a -155 home favorite in this game. The Golden Knights are 6-1 straight up in last seven games against the Rangers, but just 3-4 against the puckline.

New York Rangers Betting Analysis

Alex Lafreniere and Vincent Trocheck each contributed a goal and an assist as the Rangers beat the St Louis Blues 6-4 in their last game. Artemi Panarin (30 points), Mika Zibanejad (29) and Adam Fox (28) are 1-2-3 on the club in scoring.

The total has gone over in four of the Rangers’ last six home games. However, the under has proven to be the winning play on the total in the five of the club’s past six road games.

Vegas Golden Knights Betting Analysis

In their last game, the Golden Knights went into Boston and won 4-3 in a shootout, ending the 14-0 home ice start to the season by the Bruins.

It was a fitting present to Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy, fired in the summer as coach of the Bruins. Vegas was posting that win minus defenseman and team captain Alex Pietrangelo (personal reasons) and forward Jack Eichel (lower body injury).
