Odds on Trump Pardons Strongly Favor Lil Wayne and Steve Bannon

• Speculation is that US President Donald Trump will issue as many as 100 pardons over his final days in the White House
• Rapper Lil Wayne and former Trump campaign advisor Steve Bannon are favored to be granted pardons
• Accused pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell is given long +5000 odds of receiving a pardon 

Donald Trump’s time in the Oval Office concludes at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 20th. Evidently, that has several people begging him for pardons.

A sitting President can issue as many pardons as they desire via their Presidential powers. It appears that Trump is going to wield his power liberally.

There are published reports speculating that Trump’s final clemency list will exceed 100 names.

A prop wager on who might be on that list sees both rapper Lil Wayne and ex-Trump campaign advisor Steve Bannon among the odds-on choices to be gaining pardons for their crimes.

Recent days saw Trump issuing pardons to some of his close associates. That list included Gen. Michael Flynn, briefly Trump’s National Security Advisor, and Republican Congressmen Duncan Hunter and Chris Collins.

Trump remains the +500 second betting choice in the 2024 Republican nomination odds.

Un-Rap The Rapper

Known as Dwayne Michael Carter to his mom and dad, you know him professionally as Lil Wayne. The rap star pleaded guilty in December to illegally possessing a loaded, gold-plated .45-caliber handgun.

He was found in possession of the firearm while traveling to South Florida on a private plane in December 2019.

Wayne and Trump met in Florida in October. Afterward, Lil Wayne supported Trump’s reelection campaign.

Lifting The Bannon Ban

Co-founder of the far-right leaning Breitbart News, Bannon was a strong ally and supporter of Trump when he ran for the Presidency in 2016. He ended up serving as a strategist for Trump, both on the campaign trail and early on during Trump’s tenure in the Oval Office.

However, Bannon and Trump had a falling out , although it appears they’ve recently patched up their differences.

Bannon  was charged last year with fraud. He is accused of lying to donors about how their contributions to a campaign to build a wall along the US-Mexico border were going to be used.

Don’t bet on Bannon earning a pardon.

Assange Also Out Of Luck

Wikileaks played a huge role in Trump’s 2016 election win when it hacked into the Democratic Party’s server and revealed key behind the scenes info.

Its founder Julian Assange currently is in an extradition battle with the US, which wants him to face espionage charges. According to sources close to Trump, he’s not sold on the idea of issuing Assange a pardon.

Will Maxwell Get Out Of The Big House?

Of all the names on the potential pardon list, Ghislaine Maxwell is the most intriguing. The former girlfriend of deceased convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein sits in prison, awaiting trial. She’s accused of trafficking young girls for Epstein.

Trump is an acquaintance of both Epstein and Maxwell. Remember, he wished Maxwell well shortly after she was arrested.

If she’s got any damning evidence against Trump, setting Maxwell free makes it all go away.
