NASCAR heads up to Madison, Illinois for race number 15 of the 2022 season. The race comes from the World Wide Technology Raceway. The 1.25-mile track tends to race like some shorter courses. Kyle Larson is co-favored this week with Kyle Busch at +800 odds in the NASCAR Enjoy Illinois 300 odds. Can TrackHouse Racing crash the Gibbs-Hendrick love fest this weekend?

This is one week after the Coca-Cola 600, where Denny Hamlin held off Kyle Busch and all comers on his way to victory lane in Charlotte.

Let’s dig into these Enjoy Illinois 300 odds and figure out which drivers are the best bets.

NASCAR drivers will run on the 1.25-mile World Wide Technology Raceway when the flag drops for the Sunday afternoon race beginning around 3:30 PM ET.

Kyle Larson Has Company in Enjoy Illinois 300 Odds But…

Larson is a co-favorite according to Barstool at +800 for this week’s 240-lap race just outside the St. Louis Golden Arch in Missouri.

Currently, Larson stands as a favorite most everyone else and is just +600 at Caesars. Teammate Chase Elliott is listed at +1000. Some shorter odds exist on Caesars Sportsbook, as the top-three Hendrick are all +850 or shorter. The top three Joe Gibbs’ drivers are at +800 or shorter at Caesars too.

Now, what occurs at this new track on Sunday afternoon?

The idea is that Hendrick Motorsports should do well again at Madison. Just think that Larson was close to winning the race twice at Charlotte. Can they deliver or will there be more surprises on Sunday?

The race is 240 laps in all. As we mentioned above, this is the maiden voyage on this track so there are no previous winners from Madison, Illinois.

Can Kyle Busch or Martin Truex Jr. Win at Madison?

Sports bettors have seen Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. remain mostly steady in the top-ten all season. The Joe Gibbs Racing drivers still rank well in the NASCAR Cup Series odds and are both in the top five in the race odds. Furthermore, though Larson attracts more eyes, both the younger Busch and Truex Jr. love this 670HP build.

Now, ironically, this race replaced one of the Pocono races. Should Kyle Busch be the favorite? It’s a great question. Better yet, even Truex Jr. should be higher up as well. The reflex will be to pick Denny Hamlin over the top but Truex Jr. could have some excellent speed here.

Enjoy Illinois 300 Predictions & Picks

This 1.25-mile track will take some getting used to. However, watching this compared to some shorter and more flat tracks (11 and 9 degree banking is not that steep), some numbers do pop out.

The weather expects to be warm on Sunday with temperatures rising into the 80s. The last thing to keep an eye on is drivers like Ross Chastain and even Daniel Suarez. Their ability to drive fast at Charlotte was well established. Chastain led the most laps but was just plain unlucky.

Finally, for top-ten picks, there are Austin Dillon, Kevin Harvick, and maybe even Aric Almirola to consider.

The stage format is 45-90-100 for laps. Overtime cannot be ruled out because of the Next-Gen car and it being a new to NASCAR track.

Here are our best bets:

  • Top Pick: Kyle Busch to Win (+800)
  • Other Contenders: Martin Truex Jr. (+900), Ross Chastain (+1000), Ryan Blaney (+1000), Alex Bowman (+1800)
  • Longshots: Austin Dillon (+6000 plus top-ten alert), Kevin Harvick (+2200 also look at top-ten value)
