On Friday, EFL Championship fans are in for a treat as Fulham and Bournemouth meet in what should be an enthralling match, atop the table. However, both teams come into this match off of two consecutive draws in the Championship. With QPR making a move up the table, both Fulham and Bournemouth will be desperate to get back to winning ways.
Furthermore, this will be Scott Parker’s first return to Fulham since the two agreed to mutually go their separate ways. Parker signed his contract with Bournemouth the same day and has done wonders for the Cherries since. Currently, Bournemouth are expected to finish on roughly 96 points, a 20 point improvement from last season.

Fulham also have a new manager, one that was out of a job for about a year and a half. That man is Marco Silva and he is having the time of his life at his new club.
Silva’s Offense Is by Far the Championship’s Best
Regardless, it is impossible to preview this game and not talk about Fulham’s on-field talent. Despite consistently going up and down from the Premier League, they always find a way to put together a great season in the Championship.

This year their offense has been so impressive, scoring a baffling 49 goals already. Most of that praise can go in the direction of Aleksander Mitrovic. The Serbian striker has 21 goals already and has put in enough great performances to get transfer inquiries from the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Villarreal.
However, Mitrovic is not the only one making an impact on offense. Former Liverpool midfielder, Harry Wilson, has been immense as well, scoring six goals and providing seven assists. Finally, the pairing of Fabio Carvalho and Neeskens Kebano have chipped in with four goals apiece. Overall, the point is that while Mitrovic is obviously the main threat for Fulham, they score from a variety of areas.

Bournemouth Will be Without Nine Players
Conversely, Bournemouth have been quite good this season as well. To only be one point below Fulham after the results they have put in, is all you really need to know. The Cherries went on an 11-match unbeaten run from the end of August through the end of October. However, since then Bournemouth have struggled with only one win in their last five games.

Traveling to Fulham to play the best team in the league is not the best way to get back on form either. The main setback for Bournemouth is how many players are missing in various positions. The injury list is as follows: Lloyd Kelly, Gary Cahill, Adam Smith, Robbie Brady, Jordan Zemura, Ben Pearson, Junior Stanislas and David Brooks.

Additionally, center-back Jefferson Lerma will also miss the match due to suspension. With all of these injuries, Scott Parker might want to revert to a back four to help solidify the defense. If he stays with his favored three at the back, expect Steve Cook, Chris Mepham and Zeno Rossi to start.
Fulham vs Bournemouth H2H Results
Believe it or not, Fulham and Bournemouth have only played each other four times. This is probably because they have always had a hard time finding themselves in the same league.
Nonetheless, the last time these sides met was in the 2018/19 Premier League season. In that pair of games, the sides split with a win apiece, going to the away team both times.

Mitrovic provided the winner in Fulham’s 1-0 win, while Callum Wilson was the hero for Bournemouth scoring twice in their 3-0 win. Bournemouth no longer have Wilson, but Dominic Solanke has been a quality replacement, scoring 15 goals already this season.
The other two matches in the 2014/15 EFL Championship season were both won by Bournemouth.
Fulham vs Bournemouth Best Bet
Overall, the best bet for this match is the Fulham moneyline with odds of -110. These teams do not have enough history to bet off H2H results, and they are in very similar form. Fulham have been playing very good at home lately, and I think Bournemouth’s absentee list is just to long to cope with the Cottager’s attack.
Pick: Fulham moneyline (-110)
