Oddsmakers have listed Inter as slight favorites at +106 which gives them an implied win probability of 48.54%. They are the home team for this match and will be at risk of losing on away goals if they concede. The away goals rule still stands in Coppa Italia competition.

AC Milan have clean sheets in their last seven games coming into this match. They have combined with their opponent to score under 2.5 goals in eight consecutive matches.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan Coppa Italia 2nd Leg Prediction

Having failed to win any of the three previous derby encounters this season, one might assume that Inter would be the underdogs, but expect Inzaghi’s side to be on the front foot. With the away goals rule still in effect, the Nerazzurri are well aware of the importance that they strike first as the home side.

Three winless derbies marks Inter’s worst such run against AC Milan since 2005. Expect them to use those results as motivation against the Rossoneri.

Although these two sides have consistently been amongst the best in Italian football for years, it’s been an entire decade since either side have won the competition.

Inter Milan Betting Outlook

Inter’s last loss in any competition was to Sassuolo in Serie A action on February 20th. Since then, they’ve won five of nine matches, outscoring their opponents 14-3 with six clean sheets.

Scoring has come from all over the lineup with 17 different players having found goal in Serie A this season. Lautaro Martinez leads the team with 15 goals this season, and scored the deciding marker in a 3-1 win over Spezia in Inter’s last match.

Marcelo Brozovic has been arguably the best player for Inzaghi’s side this year. An absolute destroyer in the midfield, he opened his Serie A account with an absolute rocket on Friday.

AC Milan Locking Out Opponents

Stefano Pioli’s side have done a marvelous job keeping opposition striker’s at bay. Their run of seven consecutive clean sheets in all competitions actually started in the first leg of this semi-final, a 0-0 draw with Inter.

They have conceded only one goal in their three Coppa Italia matches so far. Incredibly they are top of the table in Serie A, although their top scorer, Rafael Leao, is only tied for 19th in the league in goals.

Although they are two points up on Inter in the league, the Nerazzurri do have a game in hand so they are battling in the Serie A odds with the title still very much up for grabs.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan Pick

Inter knocked out AC Milan in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia last year. Nevertheless, this tournament has not been kind to the Nerazzurri recently as they’ve been eliminated at this stage in each of their last four Coppa Italia semi-final ties. Will that difficult streak continue?

What Inter do have going for them is almost a clean bill of health across the whole squad. While AC Milan has been in spectacular form of late, Inter will be amped up to make sure they get at least one victory over their city rivals this season.

Expect the run of clean sheets to stop here and Inter to advance to their first Coppa Italia final since 2011.

Pick: Inter Milan Moneyline (+106)
