Martina Trevisan vs Aliaksandra Sasnovich Prediction
Two unranked players will clash in the fourth round on Sunday as Martina Trevisan faces Aliaksandra Sasnovich. This is the first-ever meeting between the Italian and Belarusian.
Trevisan beat Aussie Daria Saville in straight sets in the third round, 6-3, 6-4. In fact, she’s yet to drop a set in the French Open, previously beating Magda Linette and Harriet Dart. Trevisan made the quarterfinals at Roland Garros in 2020, but she’s yet to reach anything close to that since. However, the Italian has improved her game drastically over the last two years and continues to show tons of consistency from the baseline. Trevisan cranked 33 winners against Saville in a dominant performance.
2020 QF Martina Trevisan beats Daria Saville (ex Gavrilova) and reaches R4 in Paris. This is her 8th win in a row, including WTA Rabat
victory. Before Rabat, Trevisan had won only 10 WTA tour matches in her career.Enters top 50 for the first time, current top 30 in the Race. pic.twitter.com/SwRQWT90BF

Sasnovich had a slightly tougher road to this point, defeating Xinyu Wang, Emma Raducanu, and most recently, 21st ranked Angelique Kerber in the third round, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5). Raducanu also pushed her to the brink in a three-set win. Sasnovich won 71 points to 65 for Kerber on Friday and has never reached a quarterfinal.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich beats back to back Grand Slam champions to reach the last 16 of a Slam for the second time.
After Raducanu in R2, Angelique Kerber in R3: 6-4, 7-6(5).

I’m like Trevisan here. She’s won eight matches in a row now and just captured her very first title in Morocco. The moneyline offers huge value since she’s considered an underdog.
Pick: Martina Trevisan +100
Daria Kasatkina vs Camila Giorgi Prediction
Two in-form players lock horns in the Round of 16 as Daria Kasatkina faces off with Camila Giorgi. Kasatkina won her only other meeting with Giorgi in 2020 in Lyon, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. The 2018 French Open quarterfinalist easily took out Shelby Rogers in the third round in two sets, 6-3, 6-2. In fact, Kasatkina has only dropped 10 games at Roland Garros through her first three matches.
Kasatkina: “You can be prepared really well for the tournament and you can lose 1st round b/c of the bad draw or bad match or something.

Giorgi just pulled off a dramatic upset, knocking off No. 7 Aryna Sabalenka 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 on Saturday. This is the first time the Italian has made the Round of 16 in the French capital. After dropping the opening set, Giorgi fired back and used her lethal backhand and resiliency to beat Sabalenka.
Camila Giorgi plays an almost flawless match to beat Aryna Sabalenka 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 and reach the last 16 at #RolandGarros for the first time in her career.
Sabalenka imploded a bit, but the level of shotmaking from Giorgi in the last two sets was ridiculous.

Giorgi owns five wins in her previous seven outings against players ranked within the top 10. Although she did lose against Kasatkina two years ago, I’m siding with the Italian here to keep rolling and take this match in the full three sets.
Pick: Camila Giorgi to Win in Three Sets (+475)
Elise Mertens vs Coco Gauff Prediction
American Coco Gauff, who hasn’t dropped a set so far at Roland Garros, takes on Elise Mertens on Sunday.
The Belgian looked very good in the third round, beating Varvara Gracheva 6-2, 6-3. Mertens broke six times in nine service games and manage to hold it together on her own serves, getting broke only twice. She ended up progressing past the second round after Marie Bouzkova withdrew, but Mertens also showed well in the opening round vs. Elena Gabriela Ruse, winning 6-3, 6-1. She has a 2-2 record on clay this season.
Elise Mertens' streak of 17 consecutive Slam R3s is pretty darn underrated, especially in this era of women's tennis volatility. #RolandGarros

Gauff is the youngest player left at the French Open and still proving she could be a potential contender to win it all. The 18-year-old breezed past Rebecca Marino, Alison Van Uytvanck, and Kaia Kanepi in the previous rounds. Kanepi’s big serve looked to potentially be a problem for Gauff but she pulled through and thrived with her backhand and ability to return first serves at a high rate.

— US Open Tennis (@usopen) May 27, 2022
Gauff has yet to face a ranked opposition at Roland Garros. No. 31 Mertens is evidently her first test and she took her out in three sets in 2020 in their only other meeting. That being said, the American also thrives on clay, compiling a 37-16 record. Expect that to come into play in another straight-set victory.
Pick: Coco Gauff to Win in Two Sets (+108)
