Having already met once this season, just three weeks ago, New York City and Toronto FC lock horns again on Sunday, April 24th. The reigning MLS Cup champions will likely have a touch of revenge on their minds after falling 2-1 north of the border in Toronto, with the chance to extend some warm-ish hospitality to their Canadian neighbor when they welcome it to Citi Field as the final matchup of the MLS Week 8 fixtures.

Can Tati Stay Hot?
Up until last weekend, reigning Golden Boot winner Valentin ‘Tati’ Castellanos had reserved his 2022 scoring touch for the CONCACAF Champions League, scoring four times in the continental tournament but none in MLS.
🇦🇷 Valentin Castellanos (23) v. RSL:
☑️ 90 minutes
⚽️ 4 goals
🚀 4 shots
🥅 Won a penalty
🔑 3 key passes
✈️ 3 aerials won
🤩 6-0 winAlready up to 8 goals / 4 assists on the season for Taty.

That all changed in a hurry on April 17, as the Argentine scored four times in a 6-0 win over Real Salt Lake to push him right back into the scoring race.

With his range reacquired, expect that scoring touch to continue on Sunday. It’s not like he wasn’t getting chances, with Castellanos having generated 14 shots before last weekend, although some of those were of the harder variety, with his total xG in the first five games just 1.6.
Pick: Castellanos to score (-162)
Expect Oso To Find Net
The 2022 vintage Toronto FC – at least until Lorenzo Insigne arrives this summer – will never be confused with an offensive juggernaut, having scored just 11 times in seven games. Worse yet, it shouldn’t even be that high, with the team far outperforming its paltry 6.1 xG number, the lowest in the entire Eastern Conference.
Consequently, there is some surprising value to be found when it comes to possible TFC goal scorers. While newcomer Jesus Jimenez rightly takes most of the plaudits after scoring four times so far, he is understandably the favorite among Toronto players to grab a goal here at +285.

But for anyone looking for better value, might I suggest Jonathan Osorio? Set to play his 300th game for the club on Sunday, the Canadian international has already scored twice this season, and has a knack for scoring big goals in big games, such as his goal for Canada against Mexico at the Azteca in World Cup qualifying.

Back him to grab a goal against the defending MLS champs here.
Pick: Osorio to score (+650)
Poz To Dish Up
The 2020 MLS MVP has had something of a slow start after a 2021 to forget when he was dealing with family issues back in his native Spain. Despite recording just one assist so far, Alejandro Pozuelo is still the playmaker that Toronto looks to to make the offensive system tick.

No doubt TFC will get a lot of talk on Sunday’s episode. In the meantime, listen to our latest ▶️ https://t.co/5uHXWXqfUBpic.twitter.com/2PpJK7GFIJ

But after averaging 0.40 assists per 90 in his MVP-winning season, the playmaker is more than capable of elevating both his game and those of players around him, so look for the former Real Betis man to double his assist total here on Sunday.
Pick: Pozuelo to pick up an assist (+400)
