Keuchel, a Cy Young Award Winner and two-time All-Star, has struggled in four starts this season. In his second outing, he lasted only one inning against the Guardians, allowing 10 hits, seven earned runs, one walk and failed to strike out a batter in an eventual 11-1 defeat.

In the lefty’s most recent outing against the Angels last Sunday, he lasted five innings, allowing six hits, four earned runs and five walks while striking out one in a 6-5 loss.
Meantime, Wacha has fared significantly better in 2022. Boston is 4-1 in the 30-year-old’s five starts and coming off a 5.2-inning performance against those same Halos, allowing three hits, no earned runs and two walks while striking out a pair in a 4-0 Red Sox win on Tuesday.
Chicago vs Boston: Probable Pitchers
The grizzled veteran in a supremely talented Pale Hose starting rotation, Keuchel has been a disappointment so far. He’s only gone 15 innings, allowing 24 hits, 14 earned runs and 11 walks against only eight strikeouts. He’s also allowed three home runs.
The Baltimore Orioles' entire pitching staff is making less money than Dallas Keuchel this year and have a better team ERA than the White Sox.
And they've played 6 against the Yankees, 3 against the Angels. and 3 against the Rays (all top 10 offenses).

There’s speculation among White Sox insiders that if Keuchel doesn’t start to perform better, he could be in danger of losing his spot in the rotation to Johnny Cueto.
As for Wacha, the 30-year-old former Cardinal has been a godsend for a Sox rotation that has struggled mightily. He’s gone 26 innings, allowing 13 hits, only four earned runs and 11 walks while striking out 19. With Chris Sale suffering a setback in his fractured rib cage recovery and Nick Pivetta sporting an 0-4 record and 7.84 ERA, Wacha has been the surprise ace of the staff.

White Sox Recent Dominance Over Red Sox
While both teams have been competitive overall in recent years, it’s Chicago that has gotten the better of Boston in head-to-head matchups — winning seven of the last ten.
José Abreu was the hero on Saturday, hitting a go-ahead double in the 10th after the White Sox tied it an inning earlier. Rafael Devers had an RBI double for Boston, which has lost 13 of 17 and six straight series. The Sox big free agent signing, Trevor Story, has been a massive disappointment so far, slashing .202/.287/.568 with no home runs in 89 at-bats so far. Cora was ejected for arguing after Story was called out on strikes in the 3-1 loss.

White Sox vs Red Sox Prediction
The Red Sox have clearly hit a wall. But with Wacha on the mound, Boston has hope to salvage the series against a pitcher who has struggled to find the strike zone lately in Keuchel.
