The New York Giants (4-13, 9-8 ATS, 11-6 O/U) will officially begin the John Harbaugh era on Sunday, September 13th, when the G-Men host the Dallas Cowboys (7-9-1, 7-10 ATS, 12-4-1 O/U) at MetLife Stadium in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL season.

The first regular-season game officially on the docket for next season, Week 1 lines have already been posted, and oddsmakers aren’t overly optimistic that Harbaugh’s tenure will start with a bang.

The Cowboys opened as 1.5-point chalk and the line has already been bet up to DAL -2.5 with a -115 price on the Cowboys to cover (indicating the line will get bigger before it shrinks back down).

On the moneyline, Dallas is a -135 road favorite with New York priced at +115 to win. The game total is 48.5 with -110 odds each way.

Neither team is seen as a credible threat in the Super Bowl odds; Dallas is priced at +3500 (17th in the 32-team league) with NYG considerably further back at +7500 (22nd). The 2026 NFL win totals list the Cowboys at 8.5 with extra juice on the over (-130o/+110u) and the Giants at 7.5 with extra juice on the under (+110o/-130u).

Dallas is pegged as the second-best team in the NFC East, though. At +225 in the NFL divisional odds, the Cowboys only narrowly trail the Eagles (+140). The Giants have the longest odds in the quartet at +600.

The Cowboys have won three of the last four against the Giants over the last two years. New York’s only win came in a mean-nothing Week 18 game at the tail-end of last season.

The Giants have won three of the last four against the spread, however, including both matchups in the 2025-26 season. The last three matchups all went over the total.

Dallas was the best over bet in the entire league last year, going 12-4-1 O/U. The Giants were tied for the second-best over record at 11-6.

Both teams lost and gained a ton of new personnel. The tables below outline each team’s offseason moves (not counting draft picks). The tables start with the team’s lost production and end with production gained via trades and signings. Each player is given a “production score”, graded on a 0–100 index. The production scores measures a player’s 2025 regular-season output relative to all NFL players at their position. A score of 100 = best at the position league-wide50 = average, and 0 = bottom of the league.

Stats are calculated per game to account for missed time, using position-appropriate metrics. Offensive lineman are assigned their PFF grade from 2025.
