This season’s series between the Atlanta Braves (93-57, 41-31 away) and Philadelphia Phillies (82-67, 36-35 home) is truly a tale of two cities.
At Atlanta, the Braves are 5-1 straight up in the last five games against the Phillies. In Philadelphia, it’s the Phillies who are 4-1 SU.
That includes back-to-back wins for Philadelphia in the opening two games of this four-game weekend set.

Wright is 1-1 with a 2.63 ERA in two starts this season against the Phillies. Over his career, the righty is 1-3 with a 3.96 ERA in five appearances against Philadelphia.

While Wright goes for his 20th win of the season, Phillies left-hander Bailey Falter is making the 15th MLB start of his career. Since starting the season 0-3, Falter is 5-0 with a 2.43 ERA in his past seven starts.
Falter is in the top 10% of MLB hurlers in bases on balls percentage (4.9), but is also among the bottom 5% in Max EV (115.9). Over his last five starts, Falter has struck out 22 against two walks over 28.1 innings of work.

He faced the Braves in his last start on September 18. Falter allowed one earned run and four hits over 4.2 innings on the mound. He didn’t factor in the decision as Atlanta won 5-2. That’s his only previous appearance against the reigning World Series champions.
