That includes back-to-back wins for Philadelphia in the opening two games of this four-game weekend set.
Despite that fact, oddsmakers are setting the visiting Braves as -135 favorites for Saturday’s game. Atlanta is 34-16 SU as an away favorite.

Wright is 1-1 with a 2.63 ERA in two starts this season against the Phillies. Over his career, the righty is 1-3 with a 3.96 ERA in five appearances against Philadelphia.

Falter is in the top 10% of MLB hurlers in bases on balls percentage (4.9), but is also among the bottom 5% in Max EV (115.9). Over his last five starts, Falter has struck out 22 against two walks over 28.1 innings of work.
The #Phillies are bumping Noah Syndergaard from the starting rotation for now. He will instead become a "piggyback" behind Zack Wheeler as the club eases their ace back to full length over the next two rotation turns. Bailey Falter will continue taking a regular turn.

He faced the Braves in his last start on September 18. Falter allowed one earned run and four hits over 4.2 innings on the mound. He didn’t factor in the decision as Atlanta won 5-2. That’s his only previous appearance against the reigning World Series champions.

Still, how do you bet against the winningest pitcher in the NL this season as he seeks to become Atlanta’s first 20-game winner in nearly two decades?
The Braves have lost three in a row. Wright has ended the previous two three-game skids for Atlanta.
