  • The Philadelphia Phillies are -135 road favorites to win their series vs the Baltimore Orioles
  • Philadelphia snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 5-0 shutout win on Saturday vs the O’s

It’s the rubber match of a 3-game set Sunday when the Philadelphia Phillies visit the Baltimore Orioles.

After getting dropped 6-4 in the opener, the Phillies shut out the Orioles 5-0 Saturday, tallying 10 hits behind a strong start from Cristopher Sánchez. The Orioles managed just three hits and failed to generate any run support.

And now, with Zack Wheeler on the bump in the finale, the Phillies are the betting favorite on the road in the MLB odds.

Action gets underway at 1:35pm ET from Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, with MLB TV providing the broadcast coverage.

Let’s break down this matchup as I share my top picks and betting prediction.

Phillies vs Orioles Expert Picks

Best Bet: Phillies Moneyline (56¢ on Kalshi): I am backing the Phillies to secure an outright victory. The Phillies have been a reliable investment when oddsmakers expect them to win, posting a 48-28 record (63.2%) as the favorite this season.

Conversely, they are a winless 0-4 as underdogs in their last 10 games, but they do not have to worry about that role today.

Zack Wheeler gives the road team a distinct edge in the MLB probable pitchers. He holds a 2.53 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP over 103.0 innings. The Orioles hit just .236 as a team.

With Wheeler suppressing base traffic, the Orioles will struggle to generate offense. At 56 cents on Kalshi (implying -127 odds), taking the Phillies to win outright offers better value than traditional sportsbooks pricing them at -135.

Best Total Bet: Under 8 Runs (-115 at Caesars): I also lean toward a lower-scoring script. The total is set at 8.0 runs. The Under has cashed in over 60% of the Phillies’ games this season, as backing the Over has hit in just 39.6% of their matchups. Both teams are missing key power bats, making the Under a solid play.

Best Player Prop: Zack Wheeler Over 7.5 Pitcher Strikeouts (-110 at Caesars): Wheeler owns a 10.75 K/9 rate and faces an Orioles lineup that has struck out 1,024 times. The math strongly supports backing the ace to eclipse his strikeout total.

PHI Phillies vs BAL Orioles Predictions

Kyle Bradish gets the pitching start for the Orioles Sunday. Bradish logs steady innings but labors with base traffic, holding a 1.36 WHIP and a higher 3.89 BB/9 rate.

Looking at the MLB batter vs pitcher stats, Alec Bohm has found consistent success against Bradish, hitting .400 across five at-bats without a strikeout. Bryce Harper has struggled to figure out the right-hander, remaining hitless through five attempts.

For the Orioles, Gunnar Henderson presents a historical threat to Wheeler with a home run in three at-bats. However, Wheeler has dominated Pete Alonso, recording 10 strikeouts in 38 encounters. The high strikeout numbers for Alonso and Tyler O’Neill reinforce the value of MLB pitcher strikeout props for the road ace.

Phillies vs Orioles Odds

Philadelphia is positioned as the road favorite on the moneylin, getting -128 odds, while the hometown Orioles are getting -120 odds to win outright, with both odds courtesy of FanDuel.

On the runline, the Phillies are getting +126 odds from FanDuel if they are able to win by at least two runs Sunday. Baltimore is getting an extra 1.5 runs on the spread, but there’s juice attached to that: the payout comes at -140 odds at Caesars.

Over bettors should head to FD, where the line is set at 7.5 runs pahying out at -130, while Under bettors will likely prefer DraftKings, where the line is set at 8.0 runs, and pays out at -114 odds.
