  • Below, you can find the Cavaliers vs Magic odds as well as our best bet and prediction

No games were scheduled in the NBA on Monday night to focus all eyes on the NCAA championship, but it’s a totally different story on Tuesday, April 4th with 13 games on the slate including the Cavaliers (49-30, 18-21 away) paying a visit to the Orlando Magic (34-44, 20-19 home) at the Amway Center.

Tipoff for this clash is set for 7:00 pm ET in a game you can watch on Bally Sports Ohio or Bally Sports Florida. The Cavs can enjoy some downtime in Florida as these squads will go head-to-head in Orlando once again two nights later.

First things first, let’s provide you with the Cavaliers vs Magic odds for this affair, as well as our best bet and prediction in this game below.

Cavaliers vs Magic Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Cleveland Cavaliers -4.5 (-110) -194 OFF
Orlando Magic +4.5 (-110) +162 OFF

Suddenly, Orlando is showing that they have the kind of depth and young ballers that could make them a contender in the Eastern Conference sooner rather than later. In spite of winning five of their last six, the Magic are still 4.5-point underdogs to a Cavaliers side seeking their 50th win of the season on Tuesday night.

Paying -194 on the moneyline, the Cavaliers have an implied win probability of 65.99%, while the Magic have a probability of 38.17% to extend their home winning streak to six games.

Mitchell Leads Cavaliers Back to Playoffs

Comfortably sitting in 4th place in the Eastern Conference, the Cavs appear destined to meet the Knicks in the first round of the NBA playoff bracket. With three games left to play, Cleveland already has five more wins than last year and a big reason for that increase in victories is due to the addition of Donovan Mitchell.

Acquired from the Jazz in the off-season, the shooting guard has scored at least 40 points in each of his last three games. He’s made a case for himself to be considered amongst the top contenders in the NBA MVP odds.

Donovan Mitchell’s Last Three Games

Date Opponent Points FG
04/02/2023 Indiana Pacers 40 14-25
03/31/2023 New York Knicks 42 16-23
03/28/2023 Atlanta Hawks 44 15-33

Collectively, he shot 55.6% from the floor over those three games, but unfortunately for Cleveland, two of those contests ended in defeat.

Playing on the road has been somewhat of an issue for the Cavs all season, which is why finishing 4th and getting home court advantage is so important. Straight up, Cleveland is 18-21 as visitors this campaign, and 17-20-2 against the spread.

Young Magic Squad Turn Season Around

Unfortunately for the Magic, the NBA season began two months too soon. After starting the year with a 5-17 record, this energetic squad has completely turned things around, going 29-27 since the start of December.

They haven’t lost at home since March 9th, going a perfect 5-0 during that span. Despite being 10 games below .500, no team is more of a cash cow when picked on the moneyline this year. Conquering huge underdog odds several times, the Magic have provided an 18.61% return on investment when being bet on to win straight up.

Boasting six different players who average double digits in scoring, they can beat you in a variety of ways. Leading the charge is Paolo Banchero, the runaway favorite in the NBA Rookie of the Year odds, and the only Magic player averaging 20 points per game.

Cavaliers vs Magic Prediction

Lately, the Magic have been on fire against the spread, covering each of the last nine times they’ve taken the court. When they are underdogs by four points or more in the NBA odds this year, the Magic have an impressive 29-14-3 ATS record.

Both teams should be trotting out full lineups with no serious injuries and days off before and afterwards. Cleveland is a better side and gunning for a milestone, but Orlando have been too impressive lately to bet against them covering.

Our prediction is to go with the trend and take the Magic to at least keep this one very close.

Pick: Orlando Magic +4.5 (-110)
