Henry Leading Titans Charge

Pegged as lengthy 10-point underdogs going into Saturday night’s clash in Baltimore, the Titans capitalized on opportunities provided by a stout defense to end the Ravens’ 12-game SU win streak and bounce the previous Super Bowl favorites from the postseason in convincing fashion.

The Titans took an early 14-0 lead by cashing in on Baltimore turnovers, while Derrick Henry once again played a crucial role in Tennessee’s third straight SU win. The Titans rusher marched for 195 yards, and connected on a three-yard scoring pass early in the third quarter, which followed another huge stop by the Tennessee defense in a 4th-and-1 situation.

Henry has powered the Titans offense during the team’s current three-game surge, averaging 196 rushing yards and adding his first scoring pass of his NFL career to his four scoring runs, and has quickly earned respect at the sportsbooks in the wake of Saturday’s performance

Henry has powered the Titans offense during the team’s current three-game surge, averaging 196 rushing yards and adding his first scoring pass of his NFL career to his four scoring runs, and has quickly earned respect at the sportsbooks in the wake of Saturday’s performance.

A distant +2500 bet to claim Super Bowl MVP honors going into the weekend, Henry now trails only Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo with +700 to become the first running back to take home the award in 22 years.

Titans Earning Respect at Sportsbooks

With the Titans coming off their second straight upset victory, they are attracting believers at the sportsbooks. The team entered their Wild Card Weekend matchup with the defending champion New England Patriots pegged as 4.5-point road underdogs and distant +4333 Super Bowl odds.

The Titans received a lift following their 20-13 victory in New England, but with few observers expecting them to contain a vaunted Ravens offense, which averaged 33.2 points per game this season, they continued to lag with average odds of +2300 going into Baltimore.

However, with the team’s recent success clearly no fluke, Tennessee was pegged at +600 in the Super Bowl odds shortly after Saturday night’s victory, before climbing to +500 by Sunday morning.

Texans, Chiefs Represent Massive Challenge

Tennessee still has a mountain to climb in their bid to make their first Super Bowl appearance in 20 years. The Titans now awaits the winner of Sunday afternoon’s clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Titans earned a 35-14 road victory in Houston in Week 17 to clinch the AFC’s second wild card. While that win snapped a two-game SU losing streak against the Texans, it also came against a Houston squad that rested most of their regulars after clinching top spot in the AFC South.

Houston enters Sunday afternoon’s date with the Chiefs on a respectable 5-2 SU run, but have been far from dominant down the stretch.

The Texans blew early leads in late-season victories over the Titans and Tampa Bay, and needed a massive comeback to erase a 16-point deficit in their 22-19 win over Buffalo on Wild Card Weekend, making them an attractive opponent for Tennessee in next weekend’s AFC Championship game.

Chiefs Dominating During Six-Game Surge

Riding a six-game SU and ATS win streak, the Chiefs enter Sunday’s matchup pegged as 9.5-point home chalk, and with the Ravens’ ouster have emerged as short -150 favorites to claim the AFC conference title.

Hobbled by injuries earlier in the season, most notably to Mahomes and receiver Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs have returned to familiar form of late, averaging 27.8 points per game and holding opponents to single-digit point totals in three of their past five contests.

However, the Titans have enjoyed a run of success in recent dates with the Chiefs, posting a shocking 35-32 win as 5.5-point home underdogs back in Week 10, powered by a spectacular 188-yard, two-TD performance by Henry.

The Chiefs have tightened up their rush defense considerably since their loss to the Titans, surrendering just two total scoring runs and holding opponents to under 100 yards in three of their past six outings.

But with Derrick Henry rewriting the record book and the Titans enjoying a three-game SU win streak at Arrowhead Stadium, the Titans offer surprising value as a +500 Super Bowl bet.
