Cardinals and Raiders Week 1 Performances
The Cardinals Week 1 contest against the Chiefs was a continuation of their floundering ways to end last season. In all, they’ve lost six of their last seven outings. They were outmatched by Patrick Mahomes and company, with KC’s signal caller racking up 360 passing yards and five TD passes. Kyler Murray, meanwhile, was only able to muster less than 200 passing yards.
TE Zach Ertz said QB Kyler Murray is more vocal as a leader compared to last year.
"He went around the locker room postgame (after the Week 1 loss) and told everyone we're going to be alright. He's been building the team up this week and not dwelling on the past."

Derek Carr struggled early in his battle against the Chargers, throwing three interceptions. However, he nearly led his team to an improbable comeback, as they were down by 14 points in the third quarter. Davante Adams debuted as advertised, to the tune of ten catches for 141 yards and a TD, but the Raiders lost by five points. He’s worth a look for your Cardinals vs Raiders props.
Cardinals vs Raiders Injury Report
The Cardinals may still be without the services of J.J. Watt, who missed the first game (calf). However, he did practice Thursday which gives the team hope. Second-year receiver Rondale Moore is out with a hamstring injury, as is fellow wideout Andy Isabella. Cornerback Trayvon Mullen Jr., safety Jalen Thompson and offensive lineman Justin Pugh were all listed as questionable.
For Vegas, center Andre James (concussion), safety Tre’von Moehrig (hip) and linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle) have been ruled out.
Of course, the Cards won’t have All-Pro wideout DeAndre Hopkins as he’s serving his six-game suspension. Should Arizona fall deep into a hole, Kliff Kingsbury could find himself as the first coach fired.
In my estimation, Kliff Kingsbury still hasn't won a "must win" game at the NFL level.
Sunday at the Raiders is as close to a "must win" game as a Week 2 matchup can be for the Arizona Cardinals and their hopes for a winning season in 2022.

In NFL public betting trends, people are on board with Las Vegas. Spread wagering is showing 57% of handle placed on Derek Carr and co. On the moneyline, just 35% of bettors are believing in the Cards, yet 63% of the handle is on them. The over of 51.5 is getting the action on the total. There’s 74% of handle on the over, and 60% of bets.
Cardinals vs Raiders Prediction
It’s only one game, but the Cardinals have to be feeling the intense heat, following their collapse last year, particularly since they play in the ultra tough NFC West. They’re without more key players than Vegas, and Kyler Murray won’t have the services of some of his trusted weapons on offense.
However, despite the Raiders winning four of their last five regular-season games, all of those contests were tight, with five points the highest winning margin.

14 TD – 13 INT

Five of the last six Raiders duels have gone under 51 points. They’re the better team, and are coming in with less injuries. They should be able to take care of Arizona, but expect another close tilt, with them squeaking out a victory, but not covering the 5.5 points in our picks against the spread.
The Pick:
- Cardinals +5.5 (-107); 1.5 units to win 1.90 units
- UNDER 51.5 (-109) 1.5 units to win 1.88 units
2022 record: 1-1; Overall for -0.08 units
