Safe to say we’re staggering into the end of the NFL season with our SNF props, courtesy the Giants showing out against the Commanders.

Still, there’s an opportunity to finish strong, and Week 16’s Buccaneers vs Cardinals SNF player props provides some clear wins in our eyes.

Tampa is still the frontrunner in the NFC South divisional odds, but they need to win to stay ahead of the Panthers and Saints. They’ve been gifted the gift of a third-stringer, as Trace McSorley gets his first career start for the Cards.

Odds as of December 25 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

SNF Prop #1: Evans Receiving Yards & Fournette Rush Yards

The Cardinals are a bottom-10 pass defense, allowing 237.6 yards per game. There’s not a team in the NFL that passes more than the Buccaneers, who rank top-5 in pass yards per game.

Evans is coming off a 5-catch, 83-yard game in last week’s 34-23 implosion to the Bengals. He’s only surpassed this total twice in his last six, but he’s gone for 70+ in his last three games against the Cards.

As for Fournette, it seems counterintuitive to bank on an over rush total to a team that passes like crazy, and is the NFL’s lowest-rushing team. Tampa puts up a paltry 74.3 yards per game, nine yards fewer than the second-last place team.

However, the Buccaneers know that any semblance of a run game can help Tom Brady, and at least keep the Cardinals’ pass rush honest. Arizona is just outside the top 10 in rush defense (114.3 yards), but Fournette should get touches. That will be the key.

If he gets at least 10 carries, Fournette has cruised past this mark seven of eight times this season.

Picks:

  • Evans OVER 57.5 yards receiving (-115); 1.5 unit to win 1.31 units
  • Fournette OVER 40.5 yards rushing (-110); 1 unit to win 0.91 units

SNF Prop #2: Connor Rush Yards

Consider this an alternate bet to taking the unknown commodity of Trace McSorley as quarterback. Just a few short weeks ago, we banked on Tampa’s defense — 10th in DVOA — to baffle 3rd-string San Francisco pivot Brock Purdy. He lit them on fire.

Instead, we’ll lean on his running attack, which has been a lot better since James Connor has gotten healthy.

He’s crossed this rush total in two of his last three, falling just short last game against a tough Denver defense. Tampa’s run D is just 18th in the league, surrendering 120.7 yards per game.

Prop Pick:

  • Conner OVER 68.5 rushing yards (-115); 1 unit to win 0.87 units

As for Arizona, Conner has found paydirt at least once in five straight games, while DeAndre Hopkins has scored at least one TD in seven of his last nine Sunday games.

SNF Prop Picks:

  •  Conner ANYTIME TD scorer (+115); 1 unit to win 1.15 units
  • Week 15 Record: 1-4; Overall SNF props record: 26-35, -10.44 units
