No Touchdown Scorer +16000 N/A

Christian McCaffrey tops the oddsboard among all players in the Super Bowl to find the endzone with odds of -210 to score anytime and odds of +350 to be the first scorer. He’s followed by three Chiefs’ players in Isiah Pacheco, Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice in the top four favorites.

If you look way down the oddsboard to “No Touchdown Scorer”, while the odds of +16000 may be enticing, keep in mind when looking at historical Super Bowl betting trends that only two teams have ever failed to score a touchdown in the big game; those being the 2019 LA Rams and the 1972 Miami Dolphins. While those teams failed to score an anytime TD, obviously their opponents did. So there has never been a game where no touchdown was scored.

49ers Touchdown Stats

The 49ers opened as short Super Bowl 2024 favorites in the early 49ers vs Chiefs odds. If they are to have success, the following players could be good anytime TD prop bets.

In two playoff games this year it’s no surprise to see McCaffrey leading all 49ers’ players in the TD categories. McCaffrey has scored four rushing and one receiving touchdown over the Divisonal and Conference Championship rounds.

Elijah Mithcell punched one in from short-range on the weekend with CMC taking a quick breather. But overall, Mitchell has only rushed the ball four times in two playoff games.

Receiving-wise, each of George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk have pulled down one receiving touchdown during the playoffs.

Below is a combined touchdown total from the regular season and playoffs for every 49er that has scored this season.

San Francisco 49ers TD Totals

Player TDs
Christian McCaffrey 25
Deebo Samuel 12
Brandon Aiyuk 8
George Kittle 7
Jordan Mason 3
Ronnie Bell 3
Elijah Mitchell 3
Kyle Juszczyk 2
Brock Purdy 2
Sam Darnold 1
Charvarius Ward 1
Jauan Jennings 1

McCaffrey easily leads all 49ers this season with 25 combined touchdowns. Whether it be on the ground or as a receiver out of backfield, CMC is dangerous on all fronts, scoring 14 touchdowns rushing and seven receiving during the regular season.

49ers First Touchdown Scorers This Season

San Fran scored first in 14/19 games this season including the regular season and playoffs. The Lions scored first in the NFC Title Game last week, but San Fran had scored first in their three games prior, plus in seven of their previous ten.

Here is a list of which 49ers’ players have the most first touchdown scores this season.

  • Christian McCaffrey 4
  • Brandon Aiyuk 3
  • Deebo Samuel 2
  • George Kittle 2
  • Ronnie Bell 1
  • Jordan Mason 1
  • Elijah Mitchell 1

Chiefs Touchdown Stats

The Chiefs have been leaning on their big guns offensively down the stretch of the season and that has continued into the playoffs. Isiah Pacheco has three rushing touchdowns in the playoffs so far. In the passing game, Travis Kelce also has three touchdown catches, while rookie WR Rashee Rice has added one as well.

Kelce is one of just three players in this game given odds-on odds (-120) to score. Over the course of the regular season he was the second-most targeted TE in the red zone with 20 targets, of which he made 13 catches. Include WRs into the mix, and only eight WRs had more red zone targets than Kelce as well.

Below is a list of every Chiefs’ player to score a touchdown this year in the regular season and playoffs.

Kansas City Chiefs TD Totals

Player TDs
Isiah Pacheco 12
Rashee Rice 8
Travis Kelce 8
Jerick McKinnon 5
Justin Watson 3
Clyde Edwards-Helaire 2
Noah Gray 2
Blake Bell 1
Marquez Valdes-Scantling 1
Mike Edwards 1
Kadarius Toney 1
Skyy Moore 1
Bryan Cook 1

Pacheco leads all Kansas City players with 12 total touchdowns this year followed by Rice and Kelce with eight each each. Jerick McKinnin comes in fourth on the list with five scores, though he’s currently on the IR and hasn’t played since December 17.

Chiefs First Touchdown Scorers This Season

Kansas City has played 20 combined games this season and have scored the first touchdown in 14 of them. Of those 14, Pacheco and Rice are the only players to have done so multiple times with 4 and 3 first touchdowns respectively.

While the Bills got the game’s first TD in the Divisional Round, the Chiefs have scored the game’s first touchdown in six of their past seven games,

Here is a list of which Chiefs’ players have the most first-touchdown scores this season.

  • Isiah Pacheco 4
  • Rashee Rice 3
  • Travis Kelce 1
  • Skyy Moore 1
  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling 1
  • Kadarius Toney 1
  • Justin Watson 1
  • Mike Edwards 1
  • Jerick McKinnon 1

Super Bowl Touchdown Picks

Here are three players to target for your anytime TD props at the best Super Bowl betting apps.

Christian McCaffrey (-210)

McCaffrey has played in 18 games this season and has scored a touchdown in 15 of them. Six of those have come in his last four games. The odds are never too appealing for CMC to score, however, it’s been basically a near-certainly in his playoff and 49ers careers. McCaffrey has scored in all six career playoff games and in 33/37 games he has played since being traded to San Francisco.

In the regular season CMC had the most red zone carries with 65, eight more than Tony Pollard in second. As a receiver, he also topped all running backs with 17 targets out of the backfield, four more than the next closest players.

An anytime TD won’t net you a big payout, but it’s been a near-certainty. For better odds, you could opt for his first touchdown odds at +350. Still, considering CMC has seen anytime TD odds of around -300 in past games, -210 may be a steal.

Isiah Pacheco (-125)

Pacheco always has to be in the running for touchdown props when you consider he leads the team in TDs and has found the endzone in seven straight games for a total of eight scores in that time.

In the regular season, Pacheco carried the ball 42 times in the red zone, a number only bettered by six other running backs. Additionally, only five backs saw more red zone targets as a running back than Pacheco, who had nine, of which he made eight catches.

Brock Purdy (+550)

Brock Purdy may not be the most likely to score in the Super Bowl but I want to include one longer shot here. Patrick Mahomes is more known for his rushing, however, Mahomes has actually not run in a single score this season, and the 49ers have only allowed two rushing touchdowns to QBs.

Purdy ran in two touchdowns during the regular season and suddenly, in the playoffs, has started using his legs more, rushing for 48 yards last week and 14 the game prior.

The Chiefs have given up 54, 72, 25, 77 and 32 rushing yards to quarterbacks in their past five games and have allowed six QB rushing touchdowns this season.
